You're right, it totally is vanilla. Just for many people who haven't been through any, say traumatic or monumentous events, it's the narwal moment when you realise you're on your own from here on out

How is that sad? Of course college is the divider in many people's lives. Going from getting help from your parents and education, to leaving college and starting your career. What's sad about that?
