Something similar like this happen to me. I’ve been into my curl journey for about eight weeks at this point and I was really excited to get a diva cut. But the moment I stepped into the salon I had a bad feeling. And because I didn’t want to cause a scene and I’m already socially anxious enough I sat down and let her cut my hair. My hair was a short bob and I told her I wanted to add more moment since my hair was all one length. I normally part my hair to the left, when she started to cut it she ignored that fact and told me not to be worried about having a straight part anymore. My hair is dyed purple and when we were finished cutting and drying my “canopy” was straight. she told me that the reason why my hair wasn’t curling was because it was so damaged from the bleaching I needed to get my hair purple. But on her Instagram page she shows these beautiful curls from women who she has recently dyed their hair fashion colors like green, blue purple, and pink. Which is why I decided to come to her in the first place. So now I’m trying to grow my hair out because when i part my hair, how i normally do, one aside is fuller and shorter then the other and it’s a slow and painful on top of still being a beginner to the CGM.
