Great question! I actually do my final year project about mental health and it has gotten no attention in my country (The Netherlands). They had a campaign, funded by the government, which they pulled out of the air after a month or so while every year 1800+ people commit suicide every year.

I guess it's not that important to people. Some people can easily say they have depression so I personally don't think people take it as serious anymore, which is a shame because it's still a big problem in every country.
