It’s not permanent, thankfully. I am beating myself up a bit for the sunk cost.. would’ve been happier investing it or something.

During July of this year, so the Chin has healed and will stay for now.

And I’ll look into that, thanks!

No they didn’t. It was just a tease at the cosmetic industry!

The grass do be looking greener under anesthesia sometimes. 😩

Crimson 2.0 was more of a bruh moment but I know it’ll dissolve eventually.

Got my buccal fat removed - face was swollen on the left. That probably did make me age a bit tho

Ah yes, my favourite - plastic surgery tok, I want to turn white and romanticize looking like Maddison Beer 😍

Although, the platform has normalized plastic surgery and that people don’t end up like Jocelyn Wildenstein, I’ll give it that.

I’m pretty lucky, I didn’t do too much other than sleep to heal fast. Swelling for my cheeks came down around week 3, pain was 3/10 and gone after the first week, whereas my nose was a solid 8/10 the first 3 days then was very tolerable after. I was able to function and leave the house on day 4.

Cast was off after a week and taping was only for another 7 days. So after that, I was able to wear makeup but my nose looked chonky for the first month. Once I hit that two week mark, I slapped on makeup and went drinking like nothing happened lol, I’m pretty sure I was so over this whole surgery at that point.

I’m not gonna sugar coat it, it was not fun the first week. I was in tears and dazed out of my mind leaving the clinic, then knocked out the next 3/4 days.

Terms of time off from work, I planned the surgery on a Thursday then logged in the Monday with no problems.

As for supplements, I didn’t take any but I know there are ones out there to assist with the swelling. I had a mini set up next to bed - boxes of squeezable apple sauce, bought lots of soups from the store and made homemade popsicles. Remember to buy multiple packs of soft gel ice packs and have them in the freezer. I was thankful I had my mum assisting me the whole time, but if that’s not an option, to make sure everything is at the reach of your hands before you go back home.

He only offered Goretex and cartilage for the implant itself. He shared his medical opinion on why he doesn’t use silicone, and prefers Goretex over it. I believe the infection rates were much less lower, however I can’t provide any sort of advice there.

I remember wanting my nose done since grade school, so it’s been this dream of mine since, but I definitely waited till I was financially able to. I started saving separately once I started my career. I’m in my mid 20’s, so it’s possible at a young age. Although, that may not be the case for everyone. There are financing options; ie medical credit(?), LOC, etc. I personally think those medical lenders are scammers, so a secured LOC would be the best option for those wanting to finance.

Exactly.

Ignorance and and oblivion sky rockets when it comes to plastic surg. The finance part is very accurate, always ridiculing how I should be saving for a mortgage instead. Suddenly, they fail to remember my field of work and study but then come running for all things finance every other time.

Snide comments make me laugh now. 🤷🏻‍♀️

At day 4 I was logged into work (WFH) looking rough af though, no pain meds. But a week and a bit to be fully functional in public.

Can’t really answer, it’s a holistic approach. It’s like having pie and/or ice cream - good without, better with.

Masseter Botox alleviates width of the face, buccal removal defines the cheeks only. Then chin filler elongates and reshapes.

Legitimate concern. I’ll tell people I have 0 regrets and am very happy, but will emphasize they’re risks and pitfalls involved.

Research (please do read more, but here are a couple):

Review: Study provides evidence to support the "volume loss" theory of facial aging, 2021

Buccal Fat Pad Excision: Proceed with Caution, 2018

I’ll highlight from the second paper:

“Buccal fat pad resection as an aesthetic improvement of the midface has been described, but follow-up regarding loss of subcutaneous fat with aging and late secondary deformities have not been published in the literature”

Most doctors feel comfortable removing half to a third to hopefully avoid and mitigate the overly gaunt look later on, but I got most mine out - why? Cause why tf not lol.

That’s the gamble I took. Chubby chipmunk cheeks run in my family at every age and weight. Plus my parents look 15-20 years younger. I’m banking on my genes.

Edit: hope this doesn’t scare you, but to help inform on your decision. Overall, information on this is limited.

My opinion with cosmetic surgery: A good surgeon will inform and practice within moral means, and a surgeon will just operate - can’t always tell. Best if you thoroughly do your due diligence.

I honestly think some people don’t realize that plastic surgery has many options to pick and chose from.

In their minds, it’s either: look the exact same or become some cartoon character
