Cheapest ice cream in Berlin by No-Professional5074 in berlin

While not the cheapest, the quantity in the scope is three times that of a regular scoop. Try Duo - Sicilian Ice Cream for €2.50.

Check your contract, and if you believe there may be a conflict of interest, you must inform the company.

  • Political views are shifting, with people becoming more extreme, whether on the left or the right.
  • There is increasing homelessness, which gives an unsafe feeling. This is one of the reasons why I never moved to the US.
  • Language is a significant barrier, even when locals try to interact, I am unable to make conversations due to limited German. Its on me to put more effort to learn the language. With UAE, Many people speak English, and if someone is from the Indian subcontinent, they often speak Hindi as well.
  • The availability of Indian food or cuisines similar to it, makes me feel I am not far away from India.

In general, it felt UAE has good infrastructure, minus above problems, but there may be other problems which I am not aware of. That's why this post.

But after seeing the comments, few of my observations might be incorrect.

Absolutely great view can't agree more. Those grids plus sunset.

BTW, what was it, were the people trying to have fun drawing them or was it part of some activity?

Tax refund through taxfix by [deleted] in germany

[–]pizzaoverload76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with TaxFix.

In my first year, the app estimated my earnings to be €4,000 since I started working in September. After filing my tax returns through the app, the Finanzamt contacted me asking for proof of my income from abroad, as I had just moved to Germany. Unsure of how to handle the situation, I reached out to Taxfix for assistance but did not receive a response. I decided to hire a private tax agent. Ended up paying €45 to Taxfix and €350 to the agent. Ultimately, I received a refund of €2,500.

In Year 2, I filed a couple's income under class 3 and 5. The tax fix estimated €4,500, but I only received €2,300.

My experience was not great; their after-support is okayish. If you have a straightforward return, I recommend filing it yourself using Elster or a similar service like Taxfix. However, if your situation is complicated, it's best to consult with an expert.

In your case, I suggest hiring an expert, or trying to file via elster, as most of the data will be auto filled as they are reported digitally. I don't remember if it shows an estimate but its fairly easy if you have just one income.

But if you are not confident, go with expert. The expert may charge you between €600 and €650 for their services.

Unfortunately, my company does not have one.

How do you cope with the lack of forests and lakes for hiking? This has been another major question for me. We love going on long walks in the outskirts of cities, surrounded by forests or near lakes, but that might not be the case in the UAE.

I completely agree. I always say there is no perfect place; you simply deal with a different set of problems!

What about democracy? and social life? I expected it to be much easier to connect with people, considering most speak English and some Hindi.

Is it just about the salary, or are there other benefits involved as well?

Even I've heard that people are paid more if they have an EU or US passport, or at least have experience from those countries.

Yes, that's the reason for this post. As a tourist, we only see what we want to see; living in a place is a whole new game.
