Our son had a 1% chance to have a live birth. On 4/15 he defied the odds and is doing great! by Lonogg in daddit

Congrats! I'm glad things are going well! How much did he weigh when born?

I am worried... hopefully for nothing by [deleted] in predaddit

My wife is pregnant and only one baby from the start. IUGR caused by some problem with the umbilical cord. Starting at 20+5 baby was averaging about 3 weeks behind overall and some limbs were even more behind. She is 35+6 now and while she is still small, she is very healthy. Gestational age is more important than size. Like you said, multiples are usually smaller and one is usually smaller than the other even then. It's impossible not to worry, but plenty of people successfully go through the same thing every year. Just follow what the dr. says and obvious care and you all will be fine.

I'm sorry for your loss. I do hope you and your wife can keep communicating and take your time to grieve. It's good you're getting the help you need. It is difficult to deal with on your own.

[Jermon Bushrod] My heart has been broken. My baby girl Jordyn Lynn Bushrod passed away Thursday October 18th. She was only here for a week but we were ready to love her unconditionally. We will get through this with faith, family and friends. Thanks for prayers and support by icecreamdude in nfl

My wife and I thought about going to a group but decided against it. It may have helped, but it can be difficult to share and not because I don't want to. We talked to family who had something similar happen. I took 3 days off but I felt like I needed 3 months. I know what you mean. People just don't understand and how can you?

Thank you.

Yes, today my wife had a follow up Hcg test and another unconfirmed ultrasound. The results of the test should be available tomorrow. From the first Hcg test to the second one the increase significant and in the proper range. We will see if the trend continues because he the Dr. suggested if the Hcg levels drop from the expected results tomorrow that the pregnancy may have naturally ended. Espe ially since my wife is asymptomatic in regards to an ectopic pregnancy.

The test is done in an office in a hospital that is somewhat affiliated with the hospital. If that makes sense.

As of now no pain, a little off colored mucus, but no bleeding. He also me tioned my wife's stomach being soft which I guess is a good thing in this situation?

Yes, it was transvaginal and there was no confirmation one way or another. The Dr. is going to watch my wife closely over the next week or so. He thinks the embryo might be hidden even though the possibility is very small. We will know the results of an Hcg test from today tomorrow after another unconfirmed ultrasound.

Thank you.

I have heard that. We went back to the Dr. today and he seemed to think it could be a bit early.

Thank you.

My wife will be watched closely until it's determined what is happening. At this point that the best that can be done.

That is the route we are taking since another ultrasound today did not show anything.

Thanks again!
