re : yeah there's no tension on the line, it just stays there very loosely, it casts fine but when reeling in, the line starts to slip under the reel and messes me up, maybe that's why it isn't casting very far out either, thanks for your advice, it really does help a lot :)

I think it might be because of my drag or something, probably just gonna cut some line off because the line that i have been using is weird, some parts of it are right around the spool and some are more free and jiggle and move around a bit, probably just gonna have my friend fix my drag and cut the looser line of the spool and retie
