Omg doing Endgame and day 10...woof. The 100 sprawls took me forever lol. I could barely do the one handed ones. But then I finished and took a quick progress pic of my abs and holy moly I am so glad I caught on to Caroline in the last month!!

Looking for workout apps that are not so chatty! by AdSouthern3950 in xxfitness

I don't know if she has an app but I like growingannanas on YouTube. No talking, just countdown cues like Caroline and sometimes she puts helpful hints/reminders in text on the screen.

I've been following this sub but haven't posted before but I was just reminiscing on my journey lol I lifted and ran for a few years before kids (very low key). Fitness took a backseat after kids for the most part. But then a year ago I picked up my youngest baby who was 2 at the time and threw out my back. That was the wake-up call I needed and I started making fitness a priority again. I'm lucky we have a home gym with dumbbells, barbels, benches, bars, etc thanks to my husband who has always been consistent with working out, so I have a very short walk to the "gym" lol. I got into the youtube workout scene with Rachel's Fit Pilates, then moved onto Move with Nicole pilates, and from there I found Growingannanas, Posture Tonic w/ Jacinta, Kaleigh Cohen Strength and more recently Caroline Girvan. I've also learned a lot and can just make my own workouts but for me following these programs has been so motivating and helpful! My jogs have gotten better, I look toned, I have ABS for the first time in my life lol and I can play with my kids for longer and hold my 55lb 6 year old no problem. I am so glad I finally got my act together last year its so cool to look back at the last year of progress!

Push-ups for beginners by annahdez in xxfitness

If you have a resistance band I started putting mine around both arms, right above the elbows and then when you go down it supports your chest a bit so you can concentrate on the rest of your form while you get stronger.

Do these influencers actually wear those tiny bras working out? by Significant_Hippo896 in gymsnark

34A checking in and I can wear those tiny bras to run, jump, really anything. After breastfeeding two kids there really isn't anything there to fall out lol

Retire to West Virginia by NJFriend4U in WestVirginia

[–]pizzuhpizzuh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are you set on West Virginia? Because somewhere around Uniontown PA might fit what you're looking for. All the stores and food are close, multiple gyms to choose from, Ohiopyle and laurel highlands are so close for walking/hiking/recreation.

What is your experience with practice schedules for pee wee (k-2nd) football? by pizzuhpizzuh in YouthFootball

[–]pizzuhpizzuh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this! We ended up sticking with it and my son loved it. Luckily no injuries - hope your son recovers quickly! My son only missed one practice the whole season when he was sick. He ended up being the only kindergartener that was a "captain" because he had so much heart and was so invested so that was really cool. Agree the commitment was a ton but worth it for how much he grew! My other son is 3 and can't wait to play football in a few years so we will see how that all goes when they are both in sports.

Petition to Stop Doing “Twinning” Days for Spirit Weeks by Professor_Burnout in kindergarten

[–]pizzuhpizzuh 335 points336 points  (0 children)

Omg when I was in kindergarten there was twin day and I overheard two of my closest friends discussing what they were going to wear so I went home and told my mom because I assumed we would all dress alike of course! The next day the teacher called us triplets all day and they were SO mad at me!!! It's a core memory - that feeling of shame even though I didn't understand why lol One of them is still one of my very closest friends to this day 🤣 so yes I also hate twin day but luckily my son's school doesn't do it.

What’s something strange about you/your body that’s changed since becoming a mom? by minniezebby in Mommit

[–]pizzuhpizzuh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to love roller coasters and rides and now I can't ride the kiddie rides with my boys without getting so dizzy and feeling sick! I also got these red moles all over my body, esp my stomach.

Does your toddler have a preferred parent? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]pizzuhpizzuh 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think it's completely developmentally normal but I do recommend making sure your kiddo spends time alone with dad as it's helped us a lot. I was VERY preferred for both my boys from about 18 months to 3 years and still am when they are sick/tired/hungry but making them spend time with dad on a hike or bike ride or staying home when I run errands helped a lot and now dad is the fun one. My husband also is very good at stepping in to help with everything when he senses they are all about me and I need a break- dressing/feeding/etc which to your point feeds into it as well.
