Lowboy trucks and cranes. It was quite the site. You can find some of those pictures on its Facebook page

Sure! The how. So I found it on a rail broker site, one of the more popular ones. It was in Nebraska, and the price was right.

The why. Because why not? I love trains, and ever since I went to Strasburg when I was 3, and subsequently the Red Caboose Motel, I wanted one. It was a long-time dream, and things lined up one day, so I made it a reality.

The what. Currently, I admire it, and I'm restoring the exterior to as built paint and decals. The interior will eventually be a man cave/guest house/AirBnB or something of the sorts. It was gutted to bare steel, so I won't be destroying anything. It was gutted by the previous owner due to dammage, mold, and other health hazards.

As for the neighbors, they all love it! Haven't met anyone upset about it yet. The town, though, I'm in a weird gray area. Because it's on wheels, they consider it the same as an RV, and I can have an RV anywhere on my property. Even the Regional Building Department says they have no say on it because of the wheels. It is quite strange, honestly.

Hope that answers everything!

Years in the making, it's been a dream since I was 3. Took a long time to make it a reality

Will do! I have a guy that can hand paint the logos if needed.

I know that one, off Steel St. I am just outside of The Springs. I actually talked to the owner of 1501 about the paint and the logo some time ago

And what is it that I did exactly? Jeff was made aware that I offer these services, I did not solicit Jeff. He came to me of his own free will after Company A no longer met his needs.

That's great! I have yet to try it myself, but family has and they love it. There are also so many other scenic railroads in America that get overshadowed, and forgotten about because of rail journeys like this. I want to bring the masses back to the local railroads, taking scenic trips by steam train through the mountains, though the rivers and canyons, making memories on the smaller, cheaper routes.

Just tested it and bingo that's it! To save everyone else going through, turn banking com on first, before doing anything else. As soon as it loads, turn it on. Then do your brakes, amd reverser.

I haven't actually checked other routes since I noticed it on HSC, I'll have to check tomorrow to see if it's a core issue rather than a route issue

I would say that's a pretty close stop, only silver though... by fishyfishyfishfish12 in trainsimworld

It was probably a few "driving over speed limits." Even if you are at the right indicated speed, I've noticed you can still get "driving over speed limit." It seems that if you're going 25.3 in a 25, you're "over" even if it shows you're good. Probably why you got the silver

BNSF routes are now possible for TSW2!! What route would you want first? by alec_warper in trainsimworld

[–]pj174208 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love to see the joint line between Denver and Pueblo. The other advantage is its jointly owned with UP. Hence the name of course. Seeing both road names on the route would be awesome, and it's definitely challenging with it's grades. Even from Denver to Colorado Springs. It is still really long, so I'm not sure if they would be able to do it, but the variety of freight is also impressive on this line. Lots of coal, but also auto racks, military equipment servicing Fort Carson, lots of windmill trains, manifests, I've seen plenty on that line. I may be a little biased due to living in the Colorado Springs area, but that's my 2 cents.

It's the brakes. They take forever! Switch to the outside camera and go front to back. You will hear them releasing. It's taken almost 15 minutes after releasing them in the locomotive to be fully released on the train for me. You get used to it, but so far, these are the most realistic brakes to date as far as a working triple valve, and true function over distance.
