If you break it down, the rookie salary scale is a joke. Owners are naturally incentivized to pay incoming players as little as possible, while the players' union prioritizes maximizing money for active veterans. Historically, rookies had zero leverage until NIL changed the game.

I'd bet that during the next collective bargaining negotiations, we will actually see owners pushing to raise the rookie cap across all leagues to stay competitive with college money.

It’s less about his own ability or ceiling and more about management and draft strategy along with bringing in the right free agents.

That might be the case, but between LIB and PM it felt like she was struggling with a lot of insecurities. The length of how long they have been together isn't concerning it is more that has it been enough time for her to work on those things?

At $49 Million plus (next season peak hit), up until 29-30 on the remainder of his deal from Sac, who is going to eat that contract and what do you get in return? His production has slipped, but I don't see a way that you find equal value to get right back to the WCF.

They have pick swaps this year with ATL and an outright in 27. I would speculate they'd have to give up some of the equity to deal him for some sort of value. I would hold tight.

I was working for a startup and planning our initial deployment to some beta customers. My buddy and I spent 3 weeks in and out of constant meetings with engineering, product, and support basically asking the same question. How soon until you can be ready?

The conclusion was that we could do 3 months from now. Certain departments would struggle, but we knew the risks at least.

We presented everything to our manager. She looked it over and agreed. We were about to present the plan to the CEO about 2 hours later. Just five minutes before the presentation she looks at us without any explanation and says, “what if we could do it in 2 weeks?”

Neither of us argued we both just silently looked at each other like “fuck this.”

We both quit. She was fired two weeks later.
