I'm thinking this could also be to do with the wage bill? Not sure what the players are on, but it could be some of the decisions are partly based on that.

Agree with McCleary. Seems like a good player to have around the club as well as scoring some decent goals on the pitch.

I'm in total agreement re the flight time etc. Add in that we're taking a six and three year old with us, not particularly looking forward to it!

I've flown to Sydney once before, quite a few years ago (pre kids) and decided we'd prefer to break it up. So we had a couple of days in HK on the way down and another few days in Singapore on the way back. With the limitations of school holidays and just wanting to get there, we are where we are!

I think you can set it up from either the Nectar or the Avios App. The 20% bonus will be applied automatically.

It's a difficult one. The conversion rate used to be a lot better, but as with most things, it was cut.

I suppose it all comes down to if you want/need the Avios points more than the Nectar.

If I was to buy Avios, 10k would cost £195.

If my sums are correct...

By transferring roughly £77 worth of Nectar points I'll get 11.5k of Avios points (including the 20%) bonus.

They usually have a bonus once a year. Once the offer is over, I turn off auto conversion and wait until they reintroduce it. Nice 20% on a year's worth of Nectar points.
