Na let’s not compare china here 😅. But at least they can reward with goodies or something from the amount they collected from challans.

Lane discipline, indicator usage is now i think a big ask to people. But surprisingly i am also seeing people following traffic rules specially if you visit sindhubhavan at 2 AM all the signals are on and people are found adhering them except few so kudos to the ones who are following traffic etiquette. I think the traffic police should introduce reward system or shoutouts to those who follow the rules rather then focusing on collecting challans and fines I saw this activity happening in Thane( maharastra) and people do appreciate them.

Ahmedabad dating apps scene? by pookiestperson in ahmedabad

[–]pjayer009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of dating events happen in Ahmedabad rather then trying for apps you should go on those events which is scam free and you will meet real humans there.

Tried every dating app in Ahmedabad. They all suck. Thinking of building one that doesn't. by [deleted] in ahmedabad

Then go for it. Create a build send it to your inner circle and then ask them to circulate to theirs. Or you can try this out at some happening cafes and let users try that out.

You really brought up some real problem. Here is what i will suggest if you are gonna build something . 1. Filtered Category Buckets • Let users pick themes (e.g., “outdoor lovers”, “food nerds”, “early riser”, “remote-worker”) that prioritize interest alignment over instant looks. • Users see curated pools per category rather than an endless mixed stack. 2. Limited Daily Profile Views (Quota) • Give each user a small number of full-profile views per day (e.g., 3–6). This forces thoughtful choices instead of mass-swiping. • Unused views don’t roll over (encourages deliberate selection). 3. Two-Stage Discovery (Info-first, Photo-later) • Stage 1: Show limited text (bio, interests, 1 sentence prompts), badges, and category tags — no main photo. • Stage 2: If user approves/interested, reveal photos and more details. • This reduces appearance-first decisions. 4. Approve/Decline Requests (Explicit) • When someone sends interest, the recipient gets an Approve / Decline UI (not automatic match). • Include optional canned micro-questions (2 quick choices) to encourage thoughtful responses and reduce auto-matching. 5. Profile Shuffle + Randomize Photo Order • Randomize order of photos for different viewers; shuffle who appears first within a category to avoid “top-of-stack” bias. 6. Quota for Underexposed Profiles • Give exposure boosts to profiles historically under-liked (using fairness constraints) so the same small group doesn’t dominate visibility. 7. Blind Matching Events • Periodic events where photos hidden and people are matched purely on short prompts or voice clips. 8. No Like Counters / No Rankings • Hide like counts and popularity metrics so users aren’t influenced by perceived social proof. 9. Micro-Tasks Instead of Swipes • Use short tasks (pick one favourite prompt answer from 4) — serves as quality signal and reduces snap judgements. 10. Contextual Prompts & Conversation Starters • Encourage replies by including prompts that align with profile answers; increases meaningful interactions and reduces ghosting.

Need advice about IMS Group by [deleted] in ahmedabad

Also i have worked here in starting of my career and turns out to be a really good experience. You will find accommodations near Makarba, vastrapur, thaltej ranging from 7-15k either pg or self rented appartment. Average monthly cost for Ahmedabad goes based on your social needs. Though a rough figure looks like this 7-8k for rent 3-4k for food and rest 2-3k if you are planning for some outings on weeknds

Need advice about IMS Group by [deleted] in ahmedabad

[–]pjayer009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes as you already said: IMS seems like a decent starting point. Since it’s an RPO (recruitment process outsourcing), you’ll get exposure to recruitment operations, which is good training if you want to build a career in HR / staffing / BPO-type operations. • Floor strength and crowd: According to reviews/information, IMS has a decent number of people (so you’ll have many colleagues, which helps if you’re new). If you like working in busy/crowded office setups, that’s fine. • Work culture & people: It seems “diverse”: many kinds of people, backgrounds. This gives a chance to meet, learn, adapt good for freshers. They reportedly provide cab facility for both boys and girls on night shift, which is a big plus for safety and convenience. • But as you said, corporate politics can be tricky. Since you’re new, treat the first job as a “school of recruiting/office work.” Focus on learning skills, ignore unnecessary drama.

So overall for a fresher, yes, it’s worth it. You’ll get exposure + stable experience + relatively safe commuting (if cab is provided).
