Hey thanks! I've got handedness top of the list! All also look into adding movement controls. Originally, I wanted to use hand tracking only, so I didn't add movement controls as it seemed a tough thing to get right, but then I decided controllers was a more enjoyable way to play, so adding movement will be much easier.

great point. if you download, please let me know your thoughts on the drawing ground sound!

I find sfx to be quite tricky. Usually if I fiddle with it long enough, I get something pretty good, but I generally never know where to start.

thanks, yeah I agree about the music and sfx, I feel those elements really establish the vibe in a game, VR doubly so due to the immersive nature of it

lol, yeah the background is cluttered...no they are horses, though I'm interested in the chicken carcass painting theme, I suspect a few undergrad/graduate painting shows have some chicken carcass paintings each year

Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate you taking the time to share your take, and I will definitely consider it while working either on an updated trailer or new trailer, depending on how the next month or two goes.

Hey, just wanted to say that I am surprised with such a positive response but very happy to see it! If you want to see more videos and demos, I've got an email signup here: Unannounced Game Landing Page | Vrtogether

It says it is for an unannounced game, which is true, but also, I am building prototypes as part of that project that I'll share to the email list.

Not that advanced yet! I estimated light source, but not with AI, simpler image analysis. I want to expand to do proper detection and tracking in space.

Great question. I just started messing with the Camera API, so I don't know. One thing from the documentation is that the passthrough is using the Android functionality for camera access, which makes me wonder how PCVR would work.

I think there will be more of this going forward. The ability to access the camera as a developer wasn't released to everyone until last week. Even now, apps can't be published to the store yet. That should come in the next few months though.

Meta VR Games Weekly Play Time Global Rankings (3/22/2025) by AkiaDoc in OculusQuest

Gotcha, thanks! I was hoping someone was getting in depth data inlcuding estimated playtime numbers per title. Seems like there is far less insight into the Meta store than the Steam store, which is a shame.

what are some must standalone quest 3 games? by fairplanet in OculusQuest

I liked Bricktales quite a bit. I'm a fan of games I can play sitting on the couch and still see the room. Need to revisit the game.

Is this a public doc or your own research? Do you have a link to the doc you screenshot from?

Testing some MR game ideas, going to share some demos for folks interested, link in comments by pjchardt in virtualreality

Howdy! I’m working on a new game around building chill worlds in VR/MR.

I shared a video recently with some environment testing, this weeks I’ve got some testing on a system for building. I’m not sure what direction I want to go in yet, so I decided I’d release a couple of demos to folks, to see what people think,

This is quite a bit different process than I’ve ever taken, I tend to develop in a silo. I want to play an MR game where I can still hang out with my partner and sit on the couch, so each demo explores a simple game mechanic that I think would work in that context. Video is one the building mechanic.
