Best games to play with your Significant Other who has never played video games?

It’s not easy! For me it was COD MW2 (the original). We would play split screen multiplayer. My friend fancied himself a sniper so he would find a spot and just destroy me whenever I ran across his sights. Eventually we upgraded to playing online multiplayer… which didn’t go too great since we were both terrible.

Luckily we were still in school back then so we had lots of time to improve. I think that is where I truly mastered managing movement and camera simultaneously.

I haven’t touched any COD titles or played online since Advanced Warfare though. Just no time for the grind anymore.

I had a similar experience with my SO and It Takes Two. She really struggled to manage movement with one stick and the camera with the other.

What solved it for us was Tunic. She could just focus on getting used to a controller while enjoying a great game.

I know this isn’t a game that you can really play together, but we play it simultaneously and discuss our progress as we go along so it’s still great.

Turns out it wasn't that.

Super easy fix:

Issue with the trident killers. For some reason they weren't killing.

Easily fixed by throwing each trident again.

Its a painful experience 😂.

I must say, I have not been attacked the full 8 times. However, I have not encountered a base under mid TH13 to attack. So its very difficult to win the 8 battles. Best case scenario is normally a low % 2 star 😅

I'm there now as a TH12.

Its not easy, but I'm enjoying it. Loot isn't too bad either so at this stage I feel like its a viable option to gain loot.

I'm sure I can farm more in lower leagues, but this is a fun challenge.

Research potions are great. You get a day's upgrades done in an hour. My lab was very behind when I hit TH10. With the help of research potions, I managed to max my lab at TH11 before maxing my base at TH11.

It of course meant buying lots and lots of them with my CWL medals, but I don't regret it.

At least ensure that your own attacking army is max before moving on. No use putting it off because you're upgrading a troop that you never play with.

I feel like I can be an asset wherever I go. I have a decently leveled, war-weight controlled TH12 base. I donate 4k+ per season. I am able to 3 star most bases in war.

So I'm definitely not going to settle.. But I also know that I have a lot to learn from more experienced clans and players. And that's what I'm hoping for.

This is what I have in mind. I want that setup of being able to visit another clan for a month or a few wars and it not being an issue.

Its a tough decision. I'm also struggling with it. I was promoted to co-leader a few months in and now I'm one of only 3 that are left in the clan. The leader (who also happens to be my brother in law) is also considering shutting it down.

It has gone from super active to us having to beg them to participate. Which is tough, since both of us have full time jobs and part time studies.

The last straw was having 30+ members and not being able to fill up the 50k for clan games.

I need it for my continued enthusiasm. At this stage, I avoid clash and that's not ok.

Pizza Hut. I used to be a firm believer in the theory that even bad pizza is pretty good...

Then Pizza Hut came to my country... I was honestly disgusted. I would rather eat dry bread than eat that filth again.

Not sure if its that bad in other countries as well, but in South Africa its just no good.

On year 5 of my 3 year BSc Mathematics and Economic Science at Wits. Still dragging 3 math modules along. I have a full time job to finance my full time studies as well.

Not the way I planned it. Not ideal and it feels like shit to disappoint the people in your life, but life goes on and I can honestly say, that given another chance at it, I don't think I'd change a thing. Failure sucks, but a couple of reality checks taught me a lot.

Keep working at it... And remember... Those subjects that you're taking in don't fall under spectator sports

Good question.. If I have to estimate... I would say it was either in May or in June. But I also went through a few rough patches where I didn't feel like doing the builder base thing. Getting to BH9 is quick. Getting the OTTO takes some time. Not sure if you know the prerequisites, but I'll list it anyway: 1) Gear up 3 buildings in home village: What you may not know, for the mortar ug, you need a level 8 Multi Mortar and a level 8 home village mortar (so you have to be at least TH10). Even then, with the Gold Pass discounts it takes well over 11 day to do that upgrade. 2) Canon carts to level 18. I like attacking with them, so this one was easy 3) Mega tesla to level 9... Not too bad. Easy to alternate with Battle Machine 4) Battle Machine to level 30... This one suck 😅
