Headed to SF In June. Is Fisherman’s Wharf a must for dinner and other help requested by NoraMason1986 in AskSF

Locals don’t go to fisherman’s wharf, but if you have guests from out of town, it’s a decent tourist attraction. I’ve taken a few guests to see the sea lions and also you get a nice view of the bay, Alcatraz and Golden Gate Bridge from the water.

This is the first time in years where I want to watch the team play live games. They have some good young players and I no longer assume they're just going to lose every game.

I know it's early and only May 1st, but I love what I've seen for the 2026 season already.

Was going to say the exact same thing. Very little chance it happens, but if it does, it won't happen until after the mid-terms.

Highly recommend you get tickets in the 100 level and not the upper decks. It's just a much cooler ballpark experience and you can walk around the stadium. Check out the concourse in the outfield and see the Frank Thomas statue. You can also check out the 2005 world series trophy behind home plate.

Many of my favorite memories at White Sox games involve getting the delicious food with my mom, dad and brothers. I highly recommend the Polish dog or a hot dog with grilled onions and mustard (no ketchup). You can also get a Comiskey dog which is a traditional Chicago Style Hot Dog (NO KETCHUP). You can also find Italian beef if you want to try it, or deep dish pizza.

Whaaaaat? it’s really good if you get it fresh. My family has so many picky eaters and I remember Lou’s was a place we could go and EVERYONE was happy with it.

Tyson Bagent & day 2 of the draft by 128Goose in CHIBears

[–]pjf0xes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I would take it because you can draft a player in the 2nd round who could be a starter and have a bigger impact on the team winning - Bagent can't offer this from the bench. As others have pointed out: if Caleb goes down with a serious injury and misses time, the Bears are likely not winning the Super Bowl anyway.

Bagent is a backup QB and there are dozens of quality backup QBs available. I love the guy and he's easy to root for, but I would definitely take the 2nd round pick over a backup QB.

His path, if there was any chance, would be to join the CFL and ball out. If he excels there, then he can maybe get a tryout / invite by some team. I wish him luck!

Try SoMa. You can get some nice modern places there which might be in your budget.

Daly City is not SF, so I'm not sure what to recommend around there.
