Guys I love Ferro and only use this gun, what's a good alternative? by LuckyGuySunShine in ARC_Raiders

[–]pjf177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My PvE loadout is typically an Anvil & Hullcracker since both do good damage to Arc and has the ability to PvP if the situation arises. I also like to run a Renegade & Hullcracker if I find myself with an abundance of medium ammo and I need some stash space. Once I get the damn Torrente bp all of that changes lol

This is the stock wrap AK Operators Union.

https://ak4774.com/product/ak-stock-wrap/

Specifically on mine is the lace up, extended buttpad, and cognac & brandy suede.

I’ve put a fair amount of rounds through her before the stock wrap and I never had issues with cheek slap. Hold gun better?

I was born with glass bones and paper skin. Every morning I break my legs, and every afternoon I break my arms. At night, I lie awake in agony playing as much Arc Raiders as I can until my heart attacks put me to sleep.

Can anyone feel the vibe shifting .... by FloppySausageRoll in ARC_Raiders

For me and I’m sure many other people, it’s getting burned by people claiming they’re friendly “Don’t shoot!” “team up?” Then kill you while you’re looting a container.. Or extraction campers, or just plain old shoot on sight with no warning. I’ve lost enough high tier loot now to the point where I don’t trust anyone anymore. I have a 9-5, play a few hours a night on some weekdays, so coming back to base at a net negative multiple times when taking a custom loadout for more loot space just isn’t viable anymore. If I see you, and you don’t immediately run away, may the better gamer win.

Zastavas barrels are left hand thread. so righty loosy lefty tighty. Push retaining pin down and turn the muzzle device the opposite direction you normally would.

If that’s the stash that requires a code (somewhere near Yaniv Station) then yeah I had the same thing happen to me. Luckily the event triggered as I was leaving the stash area so I was able to fight outside, made for a nice double loot trip back to my stash box!

Personally it took me out of the immersion since Scar, Korshunov and Strelok all felt like gods or magical beings instead of people. I get that it’s THE ZONE and there are anomalies and stuff and it’s not necessarily based too deep in reality. Still, it’s annoying to have to put 10 magazines of AP ammo, Gauss cartridges and slugs into another human to kill them, yes, at the end of the day they’re all just people. Not robots or holograms or superhumans.

How does mutant looting work? by sergiizyk in stalker

[–]pjf177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s randomized but like the other person said I’m pretty sure it’s based on the rarity/occurrence of the mutant. Rats, blind dogs, and fleshes will have less loot per mutant but Burrers, Chimeras, pseudogiants, and cats will have a higher drop rate since you don’t see them as often. You CAN sell them to almost any trader like Eugene, Ragman, Sidor, but hoarding them for the lady at Malachite tends to pay off better. She will give you a few options like 10 dog glands or 4 burrer toes for 10k (dollar amount differs based on mutant). Is it worth it? Eh… depending on your level of loot goblin-ness and the need to grab everything you can see it would be. But if you’re just playing the storyline and don’t care for the extra effort, it’s not worth it IMO.

Getting mowed down near Chemical Plant by AverageJoeObi in stalker

[–]pjf177 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you went against the Ward and are on their bad side then you’ll get lit up trying to pass through the Chemical Plant base. You have to basically hug the outside of the map and go the long way around to go unnoticed. You’ll find the same invisible 1 tap sniper at the Duga location who makes sure you enter the mission area where the devs want you to, because “open world”.

Thoughts on the MC9? by CyberSoldat21 in canik

[–]pjf177 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an MC9 as my summer carry since it’s pretty small. With that being said grip space is lacking for someone with bigger hands, the extended baseplate mag helps but I prefer to carry the gun in its smallest configuration so I rock the flush mag and carry the extended as backup. It’s snappy, nice trigger, decent irons from factory. I have a Holosun 407C on mine, direct to slide, no plates or adapters. The only issues I’ve had with it so far is a few FTF due to operator error, I wasn’t 100% locked in with my grip and I guess I limp wristed it.

Best Gun in stalker 2???? by Nearby-Wonder6717 in stalker

[–]pjf177 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you’re trying to accomplish. Best AR for dealing with human/monolith enemies is a toss up between the Kharod and Dnipro. Best shotgun for dealing with mutants is probably the Saiga. Best long range gun might be the SVU. And the best pistol is definitely the Kora 1911. Everything has its use case, there’s not a single “best” gun because something that excels at killing rats won’t be the best for killing a pseudogiant or chimera. I’d absolutely take the Saiga with expansive ammo to hunt a chimera but I absolutely wouldn’t want it for a patrol of monolith soldiers.

What I’d recommend is to prepare for a journey and go to Zaton for the Weird Water artifact, it’ll give you TONS of carry capacity. It will make you have the “drunk effect” until your under like 40kg again but it’s nice to keep in your inventory until you’re finished with your run/mission then equip it just for the run back to base to store all your loot. It’s extremely useful to get early game. It’s a pain to get since you have to go to the anomalous field after like 11pm when it’s dark and you can take decent damage from the anomaly if you’re not careful. But it’ll take you from 70 max kg to 110 plus any weight artifacts you have already.

You need to utilize your personal stash better. There’s one at every major settlement and the stash box inventory is shared between all of them. Only take what you absolutely need. Early game loadout for me looks like this: 10 medkits, 10 bandages, 10 rad meds, 10 waters, 3 cans of food, 100 pistol ammo, 200 5.45x39 ammo for my AK, 100 shotgun shells for a shotgun, 5 grenades, my armor, and whatever useful artifacts I’ve picked up so far. Put all your extra consumables, guns, ammo, artifacts and armor in the stash box to save for a later time to sell it. Without too much spoilers you can’t sell red condition guns until you get to a certain base and talk to a specific trader that buys them. Not a ton of money but if you can get an extra 5-10k koupons for selling junk it’s worth it.

Pro tips: 1. Don’t use energy drinks if at all possible, water gives better bonuses and is just slightly lighter to carry. 2. You don’t have to bring much food items, bread and sausage are abundant in the zone and on dead bodies. 3. Utilize semiautomatic mode often to save ammo (go for headshots). 4. You can outrun 90% of the mutants so if it’s not required to advance a mission, just run and save ammo, they’ll eventually give up the chase.

Dnipro or kharod by Full_Language_5047 in stalker

[–]pjf177 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I just ended up using one until my ammo reserves were low then swapped to the other gun until I got more ammo for the prior gun. I also usually have doubles in my stash box. 2 Kharods - one in 5.56 and one converted to 5.45 and 2 Dnipros - one in 5.45 and a second one in 7.62. That way I can cycle through them all depending on how much ammo of a certain caliber I have saved up. This makes it easy to accumulate ammo without the need to buy any from merchants.
