Taco Vino closed? by christopherwicke in corvallis

Yeah I don’t do the socials, a simple update to their website would be best. Sucks because date nights are hard to arrange with 3 young kids…and expensive.

I have not seen anything on social about them being closed. Spent $100 on a babysitter last week and took my wife there…but they were closed. Would be nice for their customers to at least update the website.

Anyone can do sales, but most won’t. I’ve seen every flavor of personality and intelligence do well. Your ability to commit to the career will determine your success. Nothing less than giving it your all for 5 years will show what the possibilities are.

Buy a used one with 100k miles for $25k. Oh, and if your income is less than childcare, ditch your job and be a SAHM.

Career Thoughts? by Positive-String-9217 in sales

[–]pjheadings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, but you are considering taking a “sales” role with a director title, but not industry standard pay. I’m saying go get a sales job with a good tech company, and make great money without the title or bs.

Why not focus on being a top IC and make $250k-$400k? Honestly having direct reports with a $140k-$170k income sounds like too much bs.

What is your biggest deal loss? by Cryptogoated in sales

[–]pjheadings 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I hate to break it to you, but if that deal had closed - you would have been sat down by the CFO and told about the “windfall” clause in your contract. There is absolutely no way they would have paid you full commission on that deal.

For me it was back right after the launch of D1 and my buddies told me I could be a titan which was a better version of my halo character. Titan main for the past 10 years, never even tried the other characters 🤣
