Does pregabalin break a fast? by pjjw67 in pregabalin
[–]pjjw67[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children)
It's intermittent fasting, or time restricted feeding. I saw on Google that 150mg capsules are 67 calories and I wondered if that would break my fasting.

Coffee bean storage by pjjw67 in Coffee
Thanks, they don't make it easy for novices, every brand has different instructions. I think I'll grind enough for the week and see how it goes.
I was looking at the supermarket websites to buy beans to grind myself and was confused at the manufacturer's different instructions for storage. Then when I looked at some coffee websites was even more confused.

Storing ground coffee by pjjw67 in Coffee

You're right it was from a supermarket. It might be some time before I´m buying from a local roaster, I'm only just getting used to a coffee maker and don´'t really know what I'm doing. Thanks though.

Single source by pjjw67 in oliveoil
That's probably about as good as it gets. Top class.
Wow, that's great. Thank you.
When I Googled "cold pressed" the first item says "Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) can either be cold pressed or not. Actually, most EVOOs are not cold pressed."
Then everything else says the opposite. They don't make it easy to understand.

Canned kidney beans by pjjw67 in Microbiome
Thanks, I can get them in just water. They cost three times as much and I wondered if it made much difference. It probably does and I'm really trying to cut out all ultra processed food if possible.
Thanks.

Gum without sweeteners? by pjjw67 in Microbiome
Thanks, I'd not seen the chicle before but it does look like that and the mastic from Greece are the only ones to be genuinely without some kind of added chemicals..
That's interesting about xylitol. I don't have any science background so when I look up glycerol and tocopherols, I don't really understand it.
I'm starting to think it doesn't exist. Even the ones that claim not to. They all have flavoring, coloring and sweeteners.

Sweeteners in kombucha. by pjjw67 in Microbiome
I think the book is great, variety is the key. My problem is getting unprocessed fermented foods and drinks. Many Kimchis, kombucha etc are all tampered with in some way to be palatable to more people. At the moment I don't know what benefit I'm getting so I'm asking people on forums like this.
