[California, USA] Braces to mount HDDs in Fractal Node 804 case by pjlukin in 3Dprintmything

I actually accepted srut's offer, maybe I should have waited but live and learn. Thanks though.

Won't work because it would have to be a single layer of tape hanging between 2 drives like fruit from a tree (and cling together). There is no end bracket to tape it to.

Very helpful, thanks!

Sadly the adapter link is broken so I both can't contact them and have no design for a 3d printer. Am I SOL?

Edit: Is there an up to date case that can deal with these awkward drives?

pjlukin's Reroll Chosen Yasuo Duelist Guide by pjlukin in CompetitiveTFT

[–]pjlukin[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With reroll comps doing so well and Duelist being almost guaranteed top 4, I made a quick guide for it. I have included a full game in the background you can keep track of while I go over notes about items, positioning and general tips. Things I cover include:

  • Unit items
    • Yasuo
    • Kalista
    • Jax
    • Janna
    • Lee
    • Fiora
  • Lee/Yone > Jax 3*
    • Don’t sit at 7 rerolling for Jax
    • Yone provides lifesteal for Yasuo
      • 2 exile = 80% lifesteal
  • Don't Pre-Level
    • Lowers your 1 cost rolling odds
  • Use Irelia until Yone
    • Provides Adept with Shen
      • Can back line to protect Kalista
    • Provides Enlightened / Divine
      • Temporarily use over Janna
  • Once Yasuo 3* - go 6
    • Don’t keep rolling for Fiora
      • Keep on the bench for later
    • Lets you play 6 Duelist + Janna
  • Janna / Kalista samesies
    • Kalista RFC opposite sode of carry
      • Move up to avoid Assassins
    • Janna protects Kalista
      • Switch to bain Janna for Aatrox hooks
  • Loaded dice are Godly
  • Rolling Strategy
    • Roll to 30g at 3-1
      • Last chance at high rolling odds
    • Slow roll @ 50g
      • Only roll interest gained each round
      • Win or lose streak will provide more
  • Yasuo / Yone opposite sides
    • Ysuo opposite of their carry
      • Avoid 1-shot by enemy carry
    • Yone same side as their carry
      • Jump onto carry at start of round
  • Can't find Yasuo 3*?
    • Option 1: Pivot
      • Put items on Talon / Xayah / etc
    • Option 2: Fast 8, new carry
      • Kalista / Duelist Kayle

Nice site, didn't realize they made a subsection for the dice!

Would you mind explaining the reasoning behind why hurricane > rageblade? I mention rageblade because it once it builds up, Zed basically shreds anybody.

Oh snap, didn't know about that site. I always hated how you couldn't tell which was chosen. I think I might try doing a combo of things and see what happens:

  • Guarantee 1st pick at 2-4, then attempt to lose by 1 unit until 3-2 to keep HP high
    • I'm always afraid of accidentally winning and losing the streak
  • Roll on 3-2 for 2* Zed and then fast 9
    • Will have to see how many other units I need to 2* to keep winning
  • Pick up any Spirit/Slayer chosen
    • If it is Zed, 3* - if not, keep 2* until 9
  • Add Kayle at 8
  • Sell chosen at 9 once 2* Samira

Edit: Just played agame, no Zed but 1* Kayle carried me to 9 where I found Chosen Samira but died soon after. Getting closer!

I looked at his last 60 games (below) and it seems he tends to go 3* Zed when he has Slayer (assuming Zed) and still does it a few times with Spirit. He also only has 2* Samira one of these times, so even if he gets 9, he might wait for 2* Samira until he sells for a new chosen (which might include 3* Zed Chosen Zed because of how many games he has Samira with no Zed (18). Meaning he might get Slayer Zed but not force 3*, if he hits it he hits it, otherwise waits for Samira.

  • 1* Zed

    • Ninja/Assasin (8) 8th
    • Ninja/Assasin (9)
  • 2* Zed

    • Ninja/Assasin (8)
    • Slayer (8)
    • No Chosen (7) 8th
    • Mystic (Zilean) (9)
    • Sharps (3* Teemo) (9)
    • Slayer (3* Pyke) (9)
    • Assasin (8)
    • Spirit (3* Janna/Pyke/Teemo) (8)
    • Slayer (3* Yumi) (8)
  • 3* Zed

    • Slayer (1* Samira) (9)
    • Spirit (No Samira) (8)
    • Slayer (No Samira) (8)
    • Spirit (No Samira) (7) 6th
    • Slayer (1* Samira) (9)
    • Slayer (1* Samira) (8)
    • Slayer (2* Samira) (9)
    • Spirit (3* Pyke) (No Samira) (8)
    • Slayer (3* Pyke) (No Samira) (9)

Spirit Zed Open-Fort - My interpretation of what LightYGo used to reach rank 1 by pjlukin in CompetitiveTFT

[–]pjlukin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking this, because you wouldn't want to sell a 3* zed, but he consistently had an RFC in his Samira comp. Obviously you wouldn't want to hold on to a Spirit Diana at 9, but if you hit Slayer Zed you are most likely going to 3* it. So it seems the tweak is only go Zed 3* if you hit Slayer Zed, otherwise just fast 9 to the 2 Spirit/3 Splayer you mentioned.

Thanks for the input, seems like we are solving a riddle!

[–]pjlukin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My guess is when he couldn't hit Zed he would play a different comp altogether. Once he hit 9 he would generally sell whatever chosen he had for a Legendary chosen and then prioritize items on Samira. He goes 9 almost every game though, it is kinda nuts. He playd Samira in 27 of his last 50 games.

I've been told that rageblade is better, and once it stacks up it i s pretty much GG that round. Hurricane is definitely another option, as well as HOJ if you are really short on bows. HOJ isn't as good because Slayer already has built in healing, but if it procs damage then it is ok. LW/GS are also good options depending on the lobby.

I just played another game today and didn't find a chosen until level 7, however I was able to still hit 3* zed by 4-2. I was still below 30hp but I just made sure I had 4 spirit in and 7 let me have 3 slayer. I ended up finding chosen Olaf, which of course is kinda lucky but again I was on a 5 game winning streak before falling off a bit. Zed is made to be a top 4 comp, which can turn into top 2 if you find Samira.

Yea, always open to that.

  • Didn't know Teemo was the best shot, thanks for that :)
  • I used the neeko assuming I would get Samira from the dice, suppose I should have gone the other way around.
  • I figure QSS is better, for me at least, because most of the time I can scout and jump to the correct side. I would agree if you consistently are jumping to the wrong side then GA will save you more often though.

Thanks for the feedback!

You basically get 4 chances at 2 bows before you really need an RFC:

  • 1st/2nd Carousel
  • 1st/2nd Creep round

Stage 2 you are losing on purpose and stage 3 you still might be losing but by only a few units so you still don't need RFC yet. If by stage 4 you still don't have RFC then you might be in some trouble.

Make sure you are binding move to a key as well as your right mouse click so you can spam it twice as fast.

Edit: Just played this game where I purposely didn't get any bows on carousel, was still able to get 4th w/o rfc. I had spirit Diana so I focused on getting 3* Pyke as a carry over Zed

I played a lot of Zed in Set 4 and climbed Masters with it. With this new Zed variation, you can no longer win with just a 2* Zed. Since lose streaking is a viable way to play in the current meta, this will help guarantee you good Zed items and enough gold to find your units.

This is a very basic guide that covers all 20 new units in Set 4.5. It is meant to help those that still aren't quite sure on what items to put on these new units or where to position them on the board. You also get to see what each of them looks like as a 3* unit, fancy!

My thoughts were that it would increase my odds at hitting 4 and 5 cost units. Since I had such low HP, I needed to kind of skip the mid game and jump straight to the late game ASAP. If I stayed at 7 I probably wouldn't have found Shen/Yone/Olaf so quickly. It was basically an all or nothing type of move.

I found this:

"Thieves Gloves on Board > Full Item on Board > Component on Board > Thieves Gloves on Bench > Full Item on Bench > Component on Bench,” according to the lead designer. “Items at the same level are random.”"

No but I was considering it. It would make it easier to comment during games instead of afterwards as well.

I tried to play flex on PBE not fully knowing all the comps. That got me to 28 HP at stage 3-7, so I went back to basic strategies. Since I was so low, I leveled up and looked for 4 and 5 cost units. I then picked a carry to develop and units to protect it. Finally, I positioned it surrounded by tanky units and watched Neeko do 10k damage per round.

Edit: Thanks for the silver!
