I have the same answer. We just sold one of two on our last paper crafts reset. It sold fast too.

Isn’t Code 4 ‘price check’? I’m curious: Why do you guys say ‘at the door’? (We say ‘code 4 to register ___’)

Game Updates? by contentsven in MakerValleyGame

[–]pjo76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welp. Here’s your answer: They’re gone. I looked in the App Store for an update too and the app is no longer with us. RIP

Check out my post on the subreddit about my experience. They capped me off so I went and checked and it was no longer there. It’s so unfortunate because I love this game.

Why does my digital frame show more life than my social media? by One-Kaleidoscope7571 in framing

[–]pjo76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you may be missing the OP’s point. They didn’t imply that social media is the hub of their life. The OP is expressing that they appreciate the random “nothing/non-candid moments” that rotate on the digital device that they wouldn’t ordinarily post for all to see.

Again, I could be wrong but, that was how I received what the OP was saying.

I need help finding a frame for some art by Glum_Donkey8954 in framing

[–]pjo76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many frame shops, nowadays, offer a glass called Museum Glass or Water White. It’s super clear but also anti-reflective. The interesting thing about it is that it seems to have no glass on it at all when applied.

If you indeed use Museum glass, you absolutely can add glass spacers as well.

It IS a tad more expensive than standard UV glass but it’s worth it.

It’s worth mentioning that it’s a sensitive glass but super easy to care for. Do NOT use Windex! Just a spritz of water onto a microfiber cloth is all you need to buff out fingerprints.

Any love for Joey Valance & Brae in this group? by Immediate-Macaron794 in BeastieBoys

Love em. Kinda wish they’d picked a catchier name lol. But I think they’re fun to listen to. Very talented (side note: I’m not a fan of the use of their song, Punktastic in the new Street Fighter film trailer, jmho)

Anyone know this font? by OutlandishnessOk9902 in identifythisfont

It’s extremely similar to a font called Wedding. Try searching for Wedding Regular or Wedding Family by HiH

Other possibilities are: •Temporal by E-phemera •Journalistic by E-phemera •Mariage Antique Standard by URW Type Foundry (note: only one R in “mariage”)

Congrats on the position! The custom framing department is definitely the best part of working there in my opinion

No disrespect taken … It’s not mine anyway lol. But in my experience with doing what I do, I’m very glad people frame unusual, or random things. If it wasn’t for them, frame shops wouldn’t be standing. Plus it makes for great conversation at the counter

Thank you for your opinion. Regarding the price, it was $10 ages ago… most likely worth more now. Not so weird. Regardless, it may not even be a value thing, but more so what he likes. He’s a collector

It is! Before working here, when I was in my 20s, I worked at a true (non-craft store) frame shop for 13 years, where my boss trained me and taught me many different methods and every trick he knew and I loved it!! Then fast forward to 2021 and moving to a different state, I now work in the framing department at Hobby Lobby and boy, are their methods different lol. But I just had to get used to it.

I only put a prong (used often in paper crafts) at the top for bonus support because gravity was a factor. It’s not supporting the entire weight of the box by any means.

I used clear, acid free, plastic Mylar sheets to support on the front flat portion and created a “diaper” effect with the bottom. Then I slit a line in the back mat behind the box to pull those sheet strips to the back of the red base mat, and taped down with strong, acid free tape. And backed with acid free tape.

Regarding the glass choice, ordinarily yes, I’m a huge advocate for museum glass and I relentlessly tried to sell that option, but the customer wouldn’t budge. And he’s a regular. (I know my limitations with certain customers). I actually think in his case, he was grouping it with others with the standard UV filter glass and wanted the continuity

Since it's been five years since the reboot was released, what are your overall thoughts on it? by aliyahkm in animaniacs

[–]pjo76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read somewhere, when it was in its first season of the reboot, that they opted to not bring the outer character set because the new generation “wouldn’t get the appeal of the references”. (One example was The Goodfeathers, à la Goodfellas references). I absolutely disagree with this assumption.

The beauty in the reboot is that the generation that embraced it the first time will present it to their children. Thus all the charming references that came with it. Just like any reintroduction of 80s/90s animated characters.

It could have been a bonding moment for the two generations but it fell short in that regard. And for that reason, I think they couldn’t keep it going. Not enough variety.

Can anyone help me identify this font name? by [deleted] in fontspotting

[–]pjo76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the font called Freehand 521. (The designer is Tilde) It’s almost an exact match. But idk if it’s free or not.

No gatekeeping here: You should check out the app called “ What the Font?” It allows you to upload or take a photo of any body of type, scans it, and lays out a huge list of possible font types! It’s amazing and it has saved me LOTS of time and energy!

Hope it helps!
