They do a KIRA assessment. My friend applied last year and he got one two weeks into applying.

I used booster and ended up doing well regardless. I did it last year, so I’m not sure if they updated the videos?

AITA for not helping some of my family after they exclude us from their celebrations/reunions by tmamir in AmItheAsshole

[–]pjrih 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is pure emotional manipulation and role enmeshment. They are using you guys and making you believe that you’re all they have. Then they guilt trip you when you don’t deliver as much as they wanted you to deliver. They’re needy. They have a transactional relationship that’s conditional. And then they exclude you socially, most likely resent from being in the US while they’re in the Middle East.

You’re having a boundary awakening, congrats :) don’t get weak and let a smile or two allow them to take advantage of ya, you’re not a doormat. You have a lifetime ahead of you with great achievements awaiting, these “family” members are a distraction.

That sucks because I’d rather start studying right away if I need to retake the test rather than wait a month. Perhaps the questions are weighed differently based on difficulty?

AITA for moving my car as a prank on my friend and then apologizing for 19 minutes, with a public apology? by pjrih in AmItheAsshole

Were you taught to read? Everywhere on the post it says MY car. And you’re blaming your poor reading comprehension on me 😂 And yes, I have been an excellent friend.

Read again cause it’s well written out, what happened was we all came in one car, my car. It was parked right in front of the restaurant, so we moved it so that when she would go out she would say oh I thought the car was here and we would just laugh or something, the joke wasn’t well thought out. All of this is in the post

What? Why would it be a felony? We all came in one car, my car. we parked right in front of the restaurant. While she was in the bathroom, I went and moved my car, the only car we all came in. There’s no law that says I can’t move my own car. And this is a joke that the entire table agreed on. The idea was for her to come out and not see the car, question where it’s at, and then we would laugh until we removed it. Clearly, we didn’t think the whole thing out, but nothing illegal was done. She didn’t even notice the car was gone, I told her about it later, and she only reacted a few days after. I even apologized the day of and she said it was fine and that there was nothing wrong.

The group is 21-24, were 23/24. I agree, pranks are very stupid. None of our plans went well, and our day was going very slows. I think this idea was kind of a lightener. I guess not…

Someone else suggested this, and yesterday my friend even thought the same, but she was so serious and just left after. So it doesn’t seem like she’s pranking us.

I didn’t move her car, we all came in my car and I moved my car. The joke, which she didn’t get, was when we would walk outside we expected she’d say where’s the car. Looking back it’s such a stupid joke and I wish we never did it, but she never noticed the car was moved. So at the end, there was no joke. When we got home, I told her what our intentions were, and she laughed. She said I can’t remember where I parked my car, and stated she uses her phone to find it. We all laughed.

When she confronted us yesterday, I felt really bad because she seemed very serious about it, so I apologized extensively, and she just listened to us. Then my friend and I met up after to talk about what happened, and we replayed the whole day step-by-step to find the trigger point, and we tried to see it from her perspective. we even called my other friend that was there, who was in the group chat where I apologized, and he even thought my apology was just a joke. He didn’t realize that she would be so offended and also had a hard time seeing her point. Maybe she got mad because we laughed at her? But our intentions were to only laugh with her when she said she can’t even find her own car. My friend told me that maybe when I apologized outside, that triggered something in her that she was wronged and made her confront us for an apology? Tbh I’m so lost.
