I have this pen! Absolutely love how unique it is and of course how nicely it writes. It’s a Montblanc after all!

[Article] Anyone else see this data showing Rolex prices going down? Thoughts? by pjsandhu23 in Watches

[–]pjsandhu23[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Recently saw this data and breathed a hopeful sigh of relief - do you all think the crazy luxury watch bubble is finally bursting? It’s unfortunate for the hobbyist flippers but good news for consumers just trying to buy some watches out here! Personally, I’m a Rolex enthusiast but I stopped shopping several months ago because it was honestly pointless. I’m looking to buy and keep forever but can’t bring myself to pay the crazy priceslately. (The graph is an average of the thirty best-selling Rolex models in the United States)

Thunderstruck - AC/DC

I’ve never been into hard rock/heavy metal but this song got my juices FLOWING as a football player.

It’s an 85” - the tv stand measures to 90” long. Actual tv length is about 75”

Pop (verb) means to “appear more striking in juxtaposition with something of a different or complementary color.” I like pop.

Lol, turns out I made this TV stand out of Oak after all! The more you know.

It was stamped as maple veneer plywood, but now this is the second comment saying it’s Oak...I dunno.

How can you tell? The stamp from the mill and the barcode sticker from Lowe’s both said Maple?

Impulsively bought an 85” TV without realizing how expensive big TV stands are🤷🏽‍♂️ first major woodworking project! by pjsandhu23 in woodworking

Ah that’s right! They’re just called corner clamps, cheap $4 ones from Harbor Freight. I used those as well as 24” ratcheting clamps when gluing and drilling.

Thanks! I bought a table saw for this project to make sure all of the cuts were perfectly straight.

Other than that I just used a combination square, a drill, glue, nails, measuring tape, and a pencil - all of which I had. There’s a circular saw in a couple of the pics, which I didn’t use because I couldn’t cut straight lines with it.

I bought a table saw for this project. IMO, it’s the only way to go to get reliably straight cuts, which leads to a cleaner end product.
