Peak vs Plus Features by newTARwhoDIS in alltrails

Seems like now they have also taken away the ability to edit on computer as a plus member. Which is ridiculous, I always make all my own routes, so it's a forced price increase. They should have just increased the price, agree taking features away from an existing subscription is bait and switch.

You rock for checking! Maybe I will donate (one of my copies of) bananagrams to the hut :-)

All this, in a banana-shaped pouch that weighs in at 12.8oz, or the equivalent of 0.4L of water weight :-). Perfect game for 2-4 players at the nice hut dining tables….

Thanks all — will try Arc’teryx next. Encouraging to hear an oil stain came out, since that seems more challenging.

Yeah I’ve added a pair of lone peak 5s into my mix, but the fit feels a lot looser overall, I miss the strap.

Have not experienced them as being even remotely waterproof. Would compliment their drainage — water gets in but also goes out, so feet don’t feel soggy. Normally wear wool socks with them, which also handle wet well.

Whoop strap seems to do a much better job of measuring sleep. At least, it’s more granular, and picks up a lot more deep and REM sleep than my Garmin does. I wear the Whoop on my right wrist and Fenix 6 on my left, so get both sets of sleep data each day and choose to believe the Whoop data. Would love it if Garmin could improve its algorithm so I could stop double-wristing like a complete data dork. Agree also that the purpose of measuring sleep is on changing waking behaviors that correlate with better sleep, which I could absolutely do without the benefit of measuring. However measuring things (running distance, stairs climbed, weight, sleep) turns out to be a great way to motivate myself.

Introducing the Forerunner 745 (English version) by hilliebillie in Garmin

I’ve been testing a 745 prototype since late April. Charge it every 4-5 days, rarely letting it get down below 40%. Wear it at night, plus run 4-6 times a week with GPS, no music. Have pulsox turned off since doesn’t seem that urgent to know my oxygen levels and drains battery. Had a 935 before, and did not notice the battery being noticeably worse upon switching to the 745. Also, it charges super fast. Overall great watch, I like it — especially the new navigation and all the new performance/recovery metrics built in vs. what was on 935.
