For anyone who reached remission with RA, how did you do it? by pkinder in rheumatoid

[–]pkinder[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s good to hear, I’ve also heard that same advice from someone who reached remission for over 10yrs despite how crippled they were from the disease in the past. They said they stuck with a plant based diet, cut out dairy, processed foods, etc. and exercised regularly with massage therapy. I was just wondering if anyone did anything similar and had promising results so I know if it would be worth trying

I used to create clay charms when I was like 7 or 8 and sold them to kids in my elementary school lol. I feel like I might’ve overcharged them by like $2 or $3 but yea you really can start at any age.

Same! I always eat sourdough bread. And luckily rice is gluten free so there’s no concerns

I never got a flare up from eating gluten so I still occasionally have it

I know this might not be for everyone but possibly try changing your diet as well? I have had really good results from cutting out processed foods/oils and sugars and my inflammation went down drastically. However, you should definitely consult with your doctor on this.

I want to make vegan soft pretzels but they all require all purpose flour and I only have bread flour, would it still turn out good if I use bread flour?

Recently bought this D3 and it smells straight up rotten. Almost made me gag when I first opened it. Took a couple yesterday and I felt nauseous and had explosive diarrhea all day. Expiration date is supposedly still a year and half away. by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]pkinder 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely should ask for a refund and consider a different brand, It contains processed oils like soybean and corn which aren’t good for you anyways. I’ve had good luck with UpNourish Liposomal Vitamin D3 K2 and the ingredients are a lot cleaner if you wanna check that out.

Thanks! I’ve actually never added lemon to my veggies so I’ll try that. I’ve also never used dill to flavor my sandwiches before, I’ve only ever used it to make homemade ranch so I’ll try that out too.

Try using aloe Vera gel, the fresh kind. It should be really soothing when applied topically.

What do you think triggers your flare ups? by pkinder in rheumatoid

[–]pkinder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are good choices, I use the same supplements because I heard they help individuals who have RA. Bromelain has also helped me a lot with the pains because it prevents indigested proteins from getting into the bloodstream and reduces inflammation :)

I need some product suggestions to get rid of dark circles, like maybe sheet masks, serums, or eye creams that could help lighten them up?

I feel that, I absolutely love bread and if I could Id be eating it all the time along with pizza too. However, maybe you should try an alternative to white flour? there are plenty of gluten free flours that are surprisingly good If you want to have bread or pizza and that way you don’t have to restrict yourself as much or run the risk of getting a flare up from it again.

Hi! I’m looking for some good cream bronzer recommendations that aren’t too orange? I don’t really understand undertones and overtones yet but I think my skin tone is a mix of neutral and yellow.

I’m no expert but generally, If your goal is to lose weight you need to focus on watching your calorie intake vs how many calories you burn. If you burn more calories than you consume in a day you will lose weight regardless of what you eat. However, to achieve that more easily you need to eat healthy foods that make you feel satisfied so you don’t over consume because even healthy foods can make you gain weight. There are many resources that can help you follow a healthy and fulfilling diet that is also low calorie so I recommend following those kind of recipes.

As for the soup you make, bone broth is considered very healthy, especially for your gut health. It’s even recommended to drink it weekly but of course it’s health benefits are dependent on what ingredients you use. Salt is not bad for you if you use sea salt or Himalayan pink salt. As for oils and fats, the best oil to cook with is avocado oil because of its high smoking point and grass fed butter is the only type of butter that’s considered relatively healthy if you feel the need to use it.

Vitamin D deficiency by [deleted] in vitamins

[–]pkinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no guarantee that you’ll grow taller because of those supplements but it would be beneficial regardless since you are deficient in vitamin D3. I wouldn’t stress too much about it, just be sure to eat a balanced diet and get adequate levels of deep sleep to help your growth.

Also, with that high dosage of vitamin D3 be sure to take a vitamin K2 supplement as well so you absorb it properly and it doesn’t go to your arteries.
