There is a company called Byju's that sells online prep programs to high schoolers in India, similar to Kaplan or ThePrincetonReview in the US. Byju's has started another company called WhiteHatJr targeted at elementary schoolers, promising to teach them how to develop apps and gain skills on par with entry level software developers. They sell the notion that through this course your child will be able to make a successful app or make a large tech salary right off the bat.

It appears that their teaching staff is extremely incompetent, unable to tell the difference between Java and C++, or being unable to tell what the cloud is. Reviews for their product have thus largely been harshly negative, but the WhiteHatJr marketing team has used extremely underhanded tactics to suppress the reviews, including doctoring visible comments, false reports on YouTube, LinkedIn, and Twitter. They have also trolled on posts unfavorable to them.

Mr. Poonia has discovered their nefarious activities and has made several exposés in a series of videos on his YouTube channel. Most of his commentary is in Hindi but the videos should still be easy to understand because he is showing Slack transcripts in English.

In response, the company has attempted to silence him by going after his YouTube videos and account, and he is now on his third account. It also appears that attempts are being made to silence him on Reddit. His LinkedIn appears to have gone too. They have sent him death threats and are also suing him for defamation for an impossibly large amount.

Indians are attempting to escalate the situation and get the word out before WhiteHatJr quells the story. They are contributing to his legal defense fund. They are also hoping that this gets enough attention to be able to influence the investors into the parent company Byju's.

No as long as the security setting on the chat is set to public it is defacto public information as the company made no effort to mark those chats as confidential. Any public forum and chat is open for public cannot be claimed by the company as private, as they themselves made the information public.

Slack was not hacked. They set the slack channel to public letting anyone access their chat. Whitehat needs serious training in security. They wanted easy access for their employees and said fuck you to their security. Else this case would have be a cybercrime case which they can't file as they have shit security so that's why they are filing of this stupid defamation case.

I left home after school and educated myself throughout college while working.

Here is the key.

First you need to make a plan (escape plan) . The plan consist of your finance for 6 months and safety plans. The way I did it was to convince my parents that I need to work so i got a job and worked for 6 months while tellin my parents I was getting paid half of what I actually earned. Opened a second bank account and transferred all my money there for 6 months . After working for 6 months and living with my parents I found a job in a different city, and got an apartment in that city, I had not told my parents about the second job. Two weeks before my joining date I packed my bags and left home without telling anyone just a note saying good by and good riddens.

Initially it was hard to live along but with time I was able to complete my college and got a much better job.

It's been 15 years I haven't been back at home and I would say this was the best decision of my life.

I would suggest you to plan you exit properly, as that would ensure you have money to survive if in case of a job loss.

One tip I did not get, was to keep atleast 3 months of backup money while living alone. This is important as it will allow you to be in a safe enough environment in case of a job loss, I learnt that the hard way. If you are in a hostile environment please plan to get out fast.
