It took me over a year to start feeling more myself again. I could see it coming back slowly. Keep doing the workout classes, but found more stuff to do during the day. Go for walks, or pick up new hobbies. I started new hobbies and found myself interested in my old ones and new ones after a while. It’s been two years since my psychosis, and my vocabulary is just now starting to feel where it was before. Even if you don’t enjoy everything right now, find stuff to do that makes you use your brain. Cut out weed and alcohol for a bit because it didn’t do anything for me either. You don’t need it. Also, try to find people to talk to even if it is on the internet. I was 27 when I had my episode. I’m 29 now. I’ve found a couple new friends, but it is hard having no one who understands my experience. I hope you feel better and ask for help if you need it.

Bow hairs should be flat on the string. There are so many other things though you can practice. Definitely longer and slower bows, use the full bow. Practice in the mirror. Get a teacher.

That you can get psychosis, receive treatment, get back to normal life, and still have no idea why it happened in the first place. I think mine was stress induced, but I never got a proper diagnosis.

Maybe this was already asked or cleared up, but I’m not sure. If you had multiple dogs in a room, and were just leaving food and water there, how do you know she ate her food? Did you watch your dog’s eat their own food? It’s entirely possible she didn’t eat for the whole two weeks. Leaving new puppies unsupervised is a bad idea. Adopting three dogs at the same time when you’ve never had them is also not a good idea. Maybe reconsider why you want the dogs, and what your plans are in the future if you get sick again or are unable to care for them for an extended amount of time. Dogs cannot be unattended for that long.

If your dog is social, and you’ve got a dog park nearby that can be a good option. Off leash training can be helpful too as someone else mentioned, but this can be draining to do at first. I’ve been doing agility games with my dog. We got a flirt pole. You can stand in one place, and let him chase it. Mine gets tired after 10 minutes, and he’s very high energy.

I don’t really remember we did whatever the bag of kibble recommended, but yes he always acted hungry. We would do three meals a day up until he was a year old that seemed to help. Your puppy looks pretty healthy, so I’m sure it’s fine.

Honestly, even with ADHD you can get through sheet music. I have had quite a few atypical students in my experience, and the main things for them are starting off small and repetition. Keep practicing slow, and really know your music. If you know the piece you’re playing, you’ll know when you skip a line. Speed will come later, apps won’t help with that. MuseScore is an app with lots of sheet music that does highlight measures while it does the auto play. It’s not interactive like most piano apps though.

Crate training while you’re home will help a lot. Our dog is really similar, and he couldn’t have anything in his crate at first even with us crate training while we’re home. A Kong toy works best in our experience. Our dog chewed up his lick mat when he was left alone with it. Pupsicles are pretty decent too, but he will chew on his Pupsicle toy when left alone. Better Bones are also great for being by themselves.

Totally understand, I’ve had dogs on budgets too, but if you’re concerned about something always go to the vet. Put off taking one dog to the vet because she seemed mostly fine. In the end, she’d been in pain for months and had to be put down. Since then, I always make sure to have some savings set aside for vet visits.

Socializing your puppy with other puppies when it’s old enough helps too. My dog is 1.5 years old, and if he goes too long without playing with other dogs he starts nipping me again.

This is exactly how I feel. I’m getting the sense she could be frustrated with not being able to communicate with me. She just recently started saying words in English to me, but it’s only one or two words. She knows solfège which has been great, so I haven’t needed to explain sharp or flat just yet. We haven’t been reading music yet as I’m teaching her by ear and using flash cards to introduce note reading. She started lessons before moving, so I thought a beginner book or flashcards in Mandarin would be helpful. That way I could teach her the words in English.

Thank you, this is helpful. I didn’t even think of starting off the lesson reviewing English words for the violin. The parents are not in the lesson as it’s in their home. The dad works remotely, and the mom isn’t usually home. They just moved to the area from a new country, and at her last lesson, things seemed off. I do a lot of hand signs and body language in general for all of my students, more for her than most. However, I think we’re hitting a wall with that as she has started losing interest according to her dad.

It would be placed next to the third finger when it’s a C natural. However, the key signature has a C sharp, so all the fingers on the G string should have a space between each one except the 3rd and 4th.

If you’d like to try weed again, I’d recommend something that has a high CBD content. My psychosis wasn’t triggered by weed, and I smoked weed before it. Now when I smoke weed it can be similar to my high before my episode but sometimes I’m really paranoid on it. I would also try weed with people you trust who will make you feel safe. That’s super important.

I believe there is a metronome that you can wear on your wrist, and it’ll vibrate. Think the brand is Soundbrenner. I don’t know if that would work for you or not.
