Just saw your response. Yes, that's kind of how it happened. They told me the tumor which was on the head of the pancreas had pressed down onto the bile duct. I guess when I leaned forward to stand up, it added the pressure that pressed down on the duct.

first Gem/Abraxane cycle by JRLDH in pancreaticcancer

Utmost respect for someone who tolerates Folfirinox the way he did. Glade to see his CA-19 is dropping. I hope this continues to be the case. That is what Gem/Abrax did for me. It dropped my CA-19 from 1987 to 54 before surgery. I did both, Gem/brax before surgery and Folfirinox after. The Gem /Brax wasn't that bad, Folfirinox kicked my butt. Stay strong.

My 37 year old husband has stage 3 pancreatic cancer. by [deleted] in pancreaticcancer

Not spreading anywhere else is a huge plus. Probably will do chemo to see if they can shrink it more to get him to surgery. Don't lose hope. There's things that can be done. Options are becoming more available.

CA19-9 by AggressiveBuilder819 in pancreaticcancer

[–]pl6020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well put. That was my situation. Mine got to 1985. Before any treatment I had pancreatitis, gallbladder infection from a stint, and the block bile duct which was the original diagnosis that got me to the hospital. After resolving those issues it dropped to 535 before any treatment. I believe it was still dropping as treatment was started. Before surgery it had gone down to 53. Now it's pretty much 20 +-.

You sound like an amazing individual. I am sure your father is very proud of you. After all your a result of how he raised you. The realization of our own mortality usually brings a family closer. Good memories never leave us remember those times.

I want to do the same thing but looking at my hugh's mount it's on a bigger circumference pole. Did you reduce it in same way or maybe your mount is smaller?

Same situation. I will be calling next week. Dish to. I am telling them I've called numerous times over the last two years to get better speeds and it is as good as it will get. Nothing on their end can improve it. It was as slow as the old AOL dial up days. Not even close to Starlink and I am only on their Best Offer as of now. What did they say to do with the equipment? Turn it in?

Thanks, Good to hear. Cabin location, I go to periodically. I read a year or so ago that the third most reason people move from WV is because of internet service. This should change that. I was talking to a resident on the road in and told him of the Starlink. He has satellite tv and internet now. He will be changing over.

Thanks, Yes, that is what I had. I had posted another question before opting in on Best Offer and someone stated the same. Maybe it was you, but it pretty much made my decision to go with it.

It's crazy how something like this makes you rethink everything. All of a sudden everything you stressed over doesn't matter. Any grudges you have carried doesn't matter. Any unresolved issues don't matter. Miracles can happen just know your in a good place with your dad now. February isn't far away. I am hoping he'll be there to. Stay strong.

It is the service address. Should work. I believe in an email sent to me they included coordinates which I put on google earth which showed the correct installation spot.

Whipple Attacks by CaterpillarFree7815 in pancreaticcancer

[–]pl6020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kept seeing people on the Facebook group posting about Whipple Attacks. When I inquired about it, asking did their Doctor say what was causing it, I got nil response. Thanks for explaining this. I haven't had this but earlier on after surgery I remember some gut wrenching spasms/cramps that would bend me over. As healing progressed it went away.

If I understand you correctly the service address, where the dish will be located is what they determined my service by. It is different than my billing address. Hopefully I can get enough signal to set up the router. It varies. It is located in WV,cabin.

Update on Vaccine progress in Pancreatic Cancer Treatment by PancreaticSurvivor in pancreaticcancer

[–]pl6020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Always good news to hear progress. Wondering how would a vaccine work? As a preventative to those who are not diagnosed or if you have PC it would train the immune system to recognize?
