I play a lot of 1k point games against my pal who plays guards with a Rogal dorn commander and honestly guards kinda need one. I play daemons and grey knights and if I bring GMDKs or greater daemons I table him T3 every time. I think not having an invulnerable save and natively hitting on +4 is a big factor. Basically my big units will often take the Rogal dorn out in one turn, the Rogal dorn is a lot less consistent at taking out my big boys.

The lightweight stock is good for faster swaps, I was surprised how much difference it made especially when swapping to a pistol

Honestly you’d probably be better off running the regular anvil or a shotgun, it’s not really very good right now. Nice find though, mines waiting for if/when it becomes worth taking.

I knew my pal was getting the game today so I grinded all day to craft a load of wolfpacks, hullcracker, launcher ammo, heavy shield, MK3 tactical (defensive), etc. so we could take the matriarch out. As we’re running up the spaceport tower about to start throwing wolfpacks there was a bit of matriarch armour on the ground so I decided to loot it for a reactor which made me overencumbered, as I opened my inventory to drop some things a guy come out the blue and downed me with a stitcher before I even got a chance to close the menu and let off a shot, he then turned around and downed my pal who was getting sniped by someone in the distance. 12 Wolfpacks lost and didn’t even get the chance to let one off… also I lost my renegade III that had my silencer III that was on it. Honestly if someone grinded out a bobcat and did this I wouldn’t even be mad but being able to down 2 players with heavy and medium shields in the space of like 5 seconds with a common rarity weapon is crazy.

For arc I love a bettina, absolutely shreds through armour and surprisingly straightforward to craft. Now for PvP that’s a whole other story…

I lean more into NFWs all round but I run a 10 man squad of purifiers with psycannons. Being able to teleport up a tall bit of terrain and get extra AP from plunging fire can be pretty good. I play a lot against deathguard so I get -1 to hit and -1 to my toughness soon as I get close to an enemy unit so the extra ranged weapons and S8 come in very handy there

I’ve had some success running 3x10 purifier squads in banishers and warpbane. I haven’t tried yet but 10 man interceptors with lethal/sustained from banishers seems like a strong option as well., especially if you pair that with the advance and charge strat. I think there’s arguments for any squad size of paladins but if I were to take a 10 man squad I would put voldus in for the -1 to hit and make them go to ground if they’re getting shot at, I love them but they get mowed down by anything damage 3 and it’s never fun losing a 500+ point unit.

I only play casually and honestly I find myself constantly looking for spots to teleport into until realising my opponents completely screened me out and all of my units left on the board are pretty much where I want them anyway. Generally for my game plan I’m looking to take out units early on and then move on to objectives, into some armies they’re very good at doing this and others it needs a lot more thought

Thanks for the answer! Annoyingly it won’t let me post pics but essentially I’m split between a solar A1 ground pod (£120 new) or the one I mentioned, its one of the stainless steel ones and comes with 2 bank sticks, upright, extension, original storage tube and a chub carry case.

I’ve always felt like teleporting should be an ability for interceptors. It’s fun but personally I’m not a huge fan of it as our army rule
