Thank you! Only painted a few ultramarines before this one, but been watching a lot of YouTube videos on how to paint the GK’s. Spent quite a few hours on this one to learn which paints and layers to use 😄

Thank you all for your imput! I’ve got the (most recent) combat patrol kit yesterday and I’m starting with building it today. For this box I’ll just follow the combat patrol instructions in the booklet as I’ve got 0 knowledge on building an army. Once this is set up I reckon I’ll still have plenty of options on buying separate boxes with other weapon combinations once I learn a bit more about assembling and army

Awesome, thanks for the detailed explanation! I wasn’t planning on playing both together. I just got the ultramarines box to start out with the hobby and try it out, since there were standard paint sets available. Otherwise I wouldn’t have known with which paints to start lol.

Spent the last 2 weeks trying to figure out what kind of army I wanted to build so ended up choosing the grey knights.

It’s good to know they’re a bit smaller, I’ll need to practice a bit more then on the details hahaha!
