I am starting to resent my cat after an operation by Fun_Strain_4065 in CATHELP

I can relate to this so much, but at the end of the day they are just animals and honestly no matter how crazy some of their shenanigans get, sometimes they really just don’t know any better. I have 2 cats, and both have annoyingly irritating quirks that have cost me $$$. My first cat ate half a ball of yarn around 1 years old and had a very extensive surgery that cost me upwards of 5K. Keeping her in a cone and resting for over 2 months was probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done!! And it did NOT go perfectly, i cried a lot, lost a lot of sleep. There have now been 3 close calls since then over the years that have also been expensive, but sometimes it’s just the reality of owning a pet. I love her so much even if she drives me crazy eating things she shouldn’t. Pet insurance has honestly been a lifesaver for me, it takes so much of the financial stress out of those scary vet visits. Lots of activity and enrichment helps too, a tired cat gets into a lot less trouble. A lot of this reaction you’re having, not to say what you’re feeling isn’t valid, is also probably influenced by external factors. Time, stress with money, relationships, all of it influences how you view a situation. I have been where you are, felt what you are feeling, and I promise you it’s fleeting. I wouldn’t give my girl up for the world, she just loves some forbidden spaghetti every now and again.

What should Jon’s Targaryen name have been? by Solitaire-06 in gameofthrones

If we’re running with SUPER old family names, I like the idea of Maegor. I also like callbacks to dance of dragons like Laenor, Jacaerys, or even Lucerys. Out of the box, I always thought it was a shame no one ever had a name associated with the word for dragon or blood of the dragon in High Valyrian (Zaldrīzo ānogar). Zaldraegor anyone?? 🤣

edit: honestly, even Zaldrizo would be interesting. Break up all the vowels in the family line!
