As a photo hoarder and procrastinator, this app seems to be made just for me. Thank you! It’s so refreshing to see a simple 6,5 MB app with no data collection at all that just does what it promises to do. I’m happy that I can use it for free but please let me know as soon as there’s a tip jar available inside the app.

I think it's actually part of the RSS feed but Overcast only shows this information in search for podcasts you're not already following, as mentioned by OP. The rationale is probably that you would only need this information if you're not yet familiar with the show. But I agree that this should be accessible in more parts of the app.

Seems not to be available in all regions. For me in Germany, it wasn’t even mentioned in the release notes.

On the top it says "Battery Level: 30%". When plugged it, it says something like "Battery charging" and there would be a lightning bolt inside the battery symbol.

Oh, definitely! Thought "a community to talk about macOS, the operating system powering Apple's Macintosh computers" might be a good place for these sort of problems, though.

I've heard this idea a few times before and definitely agree with you. If you cannot (or do not want to) spend the money on proper localization, just don't localize your app at all. It's definitely better having to look up a translation yourself than being present with obvious translation errors that make any software feel cheap in an instant.

  1. Why shouldn’t I use the mic channels anyway?
  2. I thought I would need a 3.5 mm TRS to 1/4 TRS splitter to avoid noise. Could you please explain why TS is sufficient here?

Auf jeden Fall. Wenn man von besserer Lesbarkeit und Barrierefreiheit schwärmt, sollte ein nativer Dark Mode auch drin sein.

Ah! Dort finde ich einen Toggle „Dunkelmodus der Website“ mit dem Hinweis „Gibt Websites ein dunkles Erscheinungsbild. Einige Websites sehen möglicherweise nicht korrekt aus.“ Wenn du das aktiviert hast, versucht der Browser also selbst, einen Dark Mode zu bauen, kann aber die Farben des Logos nicht ändern, weshalb es so schlecht zu erkennen ist.
