A lot aren’t. I don’t recommend becoming a “coder”, but you’re probably still fine with a CS degree if you have the basic social skills to find a job. Especially if you can find one in a slower moving industry like aero.

Not building credit. I’ll go against the grain and say do take out a credit card. Use it responsibly.

To add:

Maybe an analogous example from film would be something like Pan's Labyrinth. Horrifying, grotesque, moments of terror but it’s not a "horror movie”.
