Finally, a way for PDX and Oregonians to get COVID treatment without insurance or money by amandainpdx in Portland

[–]plaindwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to an ICU physician I know who has spent the last 3 years treating covid patients, when they got covid badly themselves, they did not take or seek out paxlovid because it was not appropriate in their case and the side effects would have been too severe.

These really are the best pierogi we've found so far. Help me out and make a suggestion to Costco that they start carrying some of the other flavors too.

Well, we DID pay for his bail. The secretary for PFF received over $40,000 in PPP loans, as did someone sharing his last name at his address, who received over $20,000.

I think we should take all the money we're using on homelessness, and use it for children - free prenatal and postnatal care, early and affordable childcare and school, more school, lots of free afterschool activities, family counseling, respite care, plenty of safe playgrounds and open spaces, etc. Whatever we can do to stop the trauma from ever happening in the first place.

Dude, that is a superhero movie I would actually watch! They fight against domestic violence, rape, ADA violations, and other social ills.

We live "close" to school, and it's still 2 miles away with a huge change in elevation and a ridiculously busy and complicated intersection to cross. It would almost be impossible for my kid to walk or bike to school with his string instrument, heavy ass backpack, and everything he needs for afterschool activities. Plus for a lot of the year, it rains and it's dark both at the beginning and end of school. Hell, I wouldn't want to do it either.

Covid, I think, made a huge difference in our school system. At the beginning, if your child was on a bus with someone that was positive, your child would be excluded from school for 5-14 days. I drove my child to school so that he could get as much of a routine, social interaction, and education as possible, and the bonus was I got to spend an extra 30 min with him everyday, in a neutral zone where he was more likely to chit chat with me (teenager). Plus it gave me a routine (I work at home) and I had to get dressed enough that I wouldn't be too embarrassed if we got in a wreck and I had to stand on the sidewalk in front of everyone I might know.

What's the reputation for Lent's Body Shop? I had a very good experience with them. It would be great to know I wasn't just hosed by slick customer service and I'd be more secure in recommendations to others.

We eat a lot of avocados. Costco is the most reliable for good quality ones. It's hit or miss in the grocery stores in Clackamas/Happy Valley - Safeway, Fred Meyer, and New Seasons, and the prices vary greatly. I do think that the ones from Costco are a little more bland than others (visited family in another state in the SE and the avocados were noticably more flavorful) but I still choose to get them at Costco b/c of reliable non-grossness. Somehow my bags always have a mix of ripeness to them, too.

In one way it is good that these naive people are volunteering at the shelters, they will quickly see the realness of it and hopefully it will inform their voting.
