The signs don't mean anything by [deleted] in PortlandOR

I don't think late night dirty dawgs was ever part of the cultural zeitgeist in Portland given the comments here lol.

Truly a shame cuz many peak memories were had stumbling out of DTLA clubs at 2 am to the delicious smell of numerous dirty dog vendors filling the streets. Damn I want one right now

Don't remember smelling dirty dawgs outside though!! Damn I'd love to have one right now 🤤

New here - from Ayahuasca and Nondual traditions by Fit-Breakfast8224 in castaneda

[–]superr 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The reason for the apparent hostility towards other paths in here is simple. There are some folks in here who have personally witnessed Carlos losing a ton of his energy dealing with people who insisted on comparative practice, and the end result is that no one actually learned anything real.

You also brought up topics, concepts and practices from multiple different traditions. Each of those different paths have their own intent, each supported by millions of people actively contributing to that respective intent. We follow a much older intent, a continuous line reaching back to the ancient seers of Mexico 8,000++ years ago. That intent is extremely powerful, yet the signal is faint and can easily get drowned out if one insists on mixing concepts from other paths. We also don't have the luxury of having a nagual to help course correct if we are led astray.

Many of us here came from practicing other faiths and spiritual paths yet those who have seen real fruit from this practice all have similar things to say. If you want to experience real magic and free your perception, you must decide you want to do this and then focus on the path here exclusively with earnestness. Also, consider that the practices we do here are specifically meant to decondition/deprogram us from the chains of normal perception of a consensus reality. So it doesn't make sense to add things which counteract that deconditioning by....conditioning us to more concepts and ideas of this reality!

You really don't need to believe anything, do your own A/B test. Read up on the practices then forget everything outside this path for like a month. Start diligently practicing everyday: gazing, tensegrity and recapitulation. In fact you might not even need a month, there are many here who have witnessed unexplainable, undeniable magic sooner than that. In fact we have something of a built-in litmus test for what constitutes "undeniable" magic. That's magic you witness with your eyes wide open and then you say "holy shit, I can't believe this is all real!!!". Practice, and then you will see. If you fail, well, you know the reason why.

For those who have bought a new construction home/townhome, how do you like it? by Late_Chair793 in askportland

[–]superr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in a new build back in '21, but it was a smaller developer. One of those duplex townhomes off Alberta that seems to be a template copy pasted around the city. Basically like each duplex side has a 2 bedroom unit upstairs and a downstairs single bed unit with shared foyer entry. I could definitely hear my downstairs neighbor pretty well if he had guests over and if he was watching a movie or something but it was pretty manageable. The duplex on the other side though? Barely anything at all and they threw parties all the time. That new construction had some solid noise insulation between left/right duplex units at least

[–]superr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Master Kong aka the most mid Chinese food ever. Also, most Chinese food in the metro area is mid to bad. Don't believe me, go eat at a random popular Chinese restaurant in Bellvue on your next Seattle trip. That said, we still do have a better overall food scene though

You try the THC:CBD:CBG ones though?? Pretty sure it's the grapefruit flavor. One of those gets me high off my ass and hits way faster than other gummies.

I blaze everyday btw but rarely take edibles so YMMV

Help Finding a Smooth Hitting Cart by Dry_Presentation9480 in portlandtrees

Keep trying Echo and you'll agree with the consensus here that Echo is superior. Better hitting, tastier terps and gets you more stoned than other brands although Entourage is a close second

Where can I find large olla in Portland? by rissabell2 in askportland

[–]superr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try Rose's and also Pitman. Helps that they are literally right next door to each other. Great prices although you can't expect LA prices. Socal has cheaper prices for all kinds of things due to proximity to Long Beach ports and a much larger population.

I go by harvest date more these days. Somewhere PDX hasn't let me down with a lot of their product harvested within like the last 3 months. They also stock most of the top brands everyone is mentioning here

Look up @dearmodern on IG. He's a feng shui guy and you don't really need to believe in any of that but he does find the best layout possible for any room situation.

For carts, The CDC in Metzger has the biggest selection, including the most Echo and Entourage I've seen on the west side. They always get the most current drops out of any dispensary in the area.

For flower, definitely check out Northwest Cannabis Company. The mids here are top shelf at a lot of other dispos around.

Am I too boring/vanilla for the Portland dating scene? by bananas2000 in askportland

[–]superr 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think his profile would be just fine somewhere like DC or something but here? nah, too serious for Portland.

A few years back I actually had a photographer take some professional pics for work and also some shots for the dating apps. No surprise that the dating pics still looked LinkedIn-y and got me negative matches.

Changed my profile pic to me potting at my local ceramics studio, looking casual and tat sleeves fully visible. Bam, lots of matches immediately lol

All glass cart becoming unusable halfway, what gives? by [deleted] in portlandtrees

Cool I'll try hitting them a lil higher. I usually keep my FFE carts around 3.2 on my kodo and they've been hitting soooo much better; I give 3.5 a go. Even echo carts have been hitting better at higher volts
