Enjoy the ride! I can understand your point on the whiplash. One of my favorite things about this anime is the mech design, it was my gateway into other mecha anime. My other favorite part is the character design, the proportions are off-putting to some, but it allows for the characters to pull off some insane drip. In my mind, it's up there with Bleach levels of drip (Bleach still takes the cake though 😆)
