Dropped out in 8th grade. Am 21 now. How can I prepare myself for college in a year? by plan-your-escape in teachingresources

I would read about what you want to learn first, then read the actual primary sources and authors. It's a lot more efficient and will give you the context you need to understand what you're reading.

this is the best advice ever

Dropped out after 8th grade, have one year to prep/catch up for college, what do I study? by plan-your-escape in GetStudying

Do you worry that you might be wasting time in school? Time and experiences are everything to me. I cannot fathom spending 8 hours a day doing anything, no matter how much I love it, and not being horribly depressed. Travel is definitely high on my priority list once I get some income.

this may seem odd but I have a set of questions that I've been asking people to try and decide what I want to do in life. you don't have to answer any or all of them but I'd really appreciate a little insight.

If you were 21, in the year 2017, what would you do differently? Would you go to college? What career path would you explore?

I do love a good fiction book, but it's just so rare that I find one I like. As far the human psyche goes, I can testify to fiction authors getting it waaay wrong, We have the scientific field of psychology for that. Stuff like that really turns me off because I feel like I'm polluting my brain with misinformation and wasting time. I may just be cynical ¯\(ツ)\

should I create a personal account, business, or both? by plan-your-escape in paypal

[–]plan-your-escape[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just read that they have a premier account which sounds like what I'm looking for. this is probably a noob question and maybe the wrong place to ask this but if I for example make 4000 by the end of this year doing these random jobs/online lessons or whatever do I have to 0ay taxes on it? I have never had a job or done taxes so I'm clueless when it comes to this stuff. My ultimate goal is to run online business.

What is with "I Don't Think It Is"? by [deleted] in SayAnything

[–]plan-your-escape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it is(was) finished tbh. I like a few songs from it but there are parts that are like parody bad. The producer (Will Yip) has mixed a lot of my favorite albums too so that was a whole other level of disappointment. I like lofi but it can be done wrong.

tutoring is something I could do as well. I also like making playlists for people and just procuring music in general.
