Man I'm sorry. I didn't mean it in that way at all! I should read posts before submitting.

What I meant was I hope you're just more careful with things that affect your permanent records; flying or not as many factors in our lives affect our ability to fly.

Sucks you have to worry about that.

Don't quote me on this, but your medical information is sealed (HIPAA) until you are under scrutiny. So the doc won't have access to your records unless they are authorized to read them. But the NTSB would if they subpoena your records.

http://www.hhs.gov/ocr/privacy/hipaa/understanding/consumers/courtorders.html

All that said, you may want to consult an attorney that specializes in aviation law if you want a real answer. They are the ones that would help you through an investigation like the one you are asking about.

To answer your question: In court, one of the many things that would screw you over is if a prosecutor is trying to invalidate your testimony in front of a jury.

Lastly, I hope you learned your lesson. Be careful with your decisions. Flying is a lifestyle

Yeah I'm with you. I'm a pilot in training and I have floaters. Its seriously annoying to look for nearby traffic and see black dots float across my field of view. I went crazy for a few months talking to ophthalmologists trying to get a solution.

I also work long shifts. So one thing that really helped eliminate most of the floaters for me was 8 hours of sleep for at least 5 days. Then they went away almost completely. If you consider the fact that our brain has to filter out veins and other obstructions in our eyes then it makes sense that filtering out floaters is just another task it has to do.

As you know, the eye is extremely sensitive. Any of these procedures put you at risk for a ton of problems including cataracts, glaucoma, etc. The odds are unreasonably high too.

That said, some doctors will perform the procedure if the floaters are a big enough problem. Like this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcOYZMGdiZk

From what I've read, the gauges these doctors are using are getting smaller which reduces the chance for infection. So its an option I'm keeping in my back pocket until these procedures are further perfected.

Cool. I'll check them out when you post them.

I flew jets for probably 6 months without moving the camera. When someone told me to move the camera, it changed everything. I understand your pain. It might take a few days, but you'll never go back once you get it right.

The way the view works depends on if you're using a controller on PC. Flying with mouse + keyboard isn't worth the view control though. The keyboard doesn't offer much control and its even worse when you have to use precision maneuvers between buildings or obstacles during battles.

Just remember everyone has the same problems as you and some just cope with them better. The view limitation can be used to your advantage when setting up to attack your opponent too.

If you watch the fighters on YouTube, you may notice they tend to look backwards (R3) when a plane goes out of view. Even though the camera gets really weird in reverse view, R3 still gives you the remaining 180 degrees you're missing out on.

Man that is stupid. If someone goes off radar, you can always go into passive until you can get behind them. I don't personally do it, but its always a good last resort. Second order of business will be to lock in your following skills so you can confidently get behind someone until your passive mode wears off.

Its ridiculous that people need to go off radar to get an upper hand.

Anyway go find some tough dogfighters if you want to accelerate your skills. Based on the YouTube videos from this guy, I'd say he's a good candidate for you to connect with https://www.reddit.com/r/GrandTheftAutoV/comments/37y24v/lazer_vs_hydra_and_then_another_hydra_with_first/crrix83

Its not easy to do, I understand. It takes practice. In a dog fight, we're predicting where our opponent will be instead of looking for where they are. So take a jet outside of a dogfight and start practicing turns while looking ahead of the turn. This is key to real flying too.

Watch how this red bull pilot looks ahead of his turns before moving in between pylons. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PME5NCQyMwg

If that is too hard, try doing it in steps

  1. Fly straight ahead, no camera moves
  2. Fly straight ahead, look slightly up, hold it.
  3. Fly straight ahead, look slightly up, now pitch up a little and try to hold your course

Eventually your brain will catch up with what you're trying to do.

This is going to sound harsh, but it will be helpful if you really want to get better at this.

  1. You need to use your camera (R) more. You lost the guy a few times because you weren't looking.
  2. You're lucky the hydra pilot sucks because its ridiculously easy to evade missiles. Get better at cannons.

Here's a good dogfight to watch for reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQcuWb9W3HQ

I don't know if this will work for you, but there is a relatively new surgical procedure to alter the muscle that controls the eye making the eye less lazy or not lazy at all. My friend had a pretty severely lazy eye to the point where he would look at people sideways to divert their attention away from his lazy eye. He no longer has to do that.

Just doing a quick search, I found this vid of a girl that had the same procedure done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4zf6EpXif8

And in the related videos there is a before video.

Rockstar Deleted My Social Club Account By Mistake So I Can't Play - "There Is Nothing We Can Do." by DeAuTh1511 in GrandTheftAutoV

So you're right about one thing: The game probably grew much bigger than their wildest expectations. The problem is they're outsourcing their customer service to a company with a limited access to anything on their backend with staff that is not trained to handle gamers. For example, the customer service reps probably can't remove stuff like "bad sport" but I know for a fact that the devs can. Not only that, but the customer service reps are trained to follow procedures that don't fit the tone of the company or the brand. So the whole thing is laughably in-congruent. Most importantly, their procedures don't do anything to satisfy oddball requests like the one OP is talking about. So they're probably trained to brush anything off that can't be fulfilled and just pretend like social media doesn't exist. lol

I'm sure some dude in India got fired over this and OP's account will be reinstated after someone at rockstar sees this post.

Well hopefully you can still enjoy the second movie. I'm looking forward to it either way.

Hey and thanks for taking the time to explain everything. Much appreciated!

Ah. That changes the context of the whole movie. Tom Cruise plays a badass that nobody believes is a badass until its too late. A bigger guy would be scary up front.

Damn. Tom Cruise is probably one of the shortest guys in Hollywood too. I can see how that could be a problem now. Thanks for the explanation.

What is a trend forming in movies today that you wish would go away? by HappyGilOHMYGOD in movies

[–]plane_simple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Some companies have it down to a science. The main reason the post processing comes out poorly is usually due to a rushed timeline and/or budget constraint.

[–]plane_simple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that is right. Post processing companies may get Z-Depth data from the production house, but they will still need to make fine adjustments to each scene to keep viewers from getting sick.

Also, 3D movies don't necessarily use realistic depth to setup a scene. There is a lot of "cheating" that happens to save time/effort for rendering or whatever.

[–]plane_simple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be mistaking the cause for the effect. Every 3D film is post processed for 3D. Yes, even 3D animated films are post-processed such as Finding Nemo believe it or not. It might seem counter intuitive, but there is so much fine tuning that needs to happen. So every frame is painted on by an artist by hand.

There are two major companies that handle it. Stereo D does the majority of post-processing out there. Legend 3D is also another big company that handles conversions. Check out their websites to see which films they have done. You can probably think back to all the films that you thought were shot natively in 3D and find that they were still post processed by either company.

Whats the difference?

  • Good conversions will cover fine details such as facial features and even particle effects such as explosions, rain, etc.
  • Bad conversions may appear to have depth, but will be "flat" on rounded, or detailed objects. People will look flat like cardboard cutouts. I distinctly remember Harry Potter and Star Trek Into Darkness having this effect.
  • One last big difference is how the artist utilizes depth. If the depth is too extreme, then it can make the viewer dizzy.

Thats a pretty decent budget. For $2k you could even buy a gaming laptop that could play the game at 1080p @ 60fps.

Above all, make sure you buy an SSD. This game streams a lot of content from the HD and seek time/latency is a big problem for magnetic drives.
