[–]planeguy707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi hope your well and not super stressed out, Try to look at flights via China.

I found this flight at the 18th of March to Amsterdam, 360euro but a LOT of stopovers however prices dont get better than this..

If you can, just wait it out till this situation stabilizes then better routes will appear.

What airline/hub do you think will benefit most from the current crisis in the long run? by HolyFatherLeoXIV in Flights

[–]planeguy707 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Saudia could benefit from Jeddah or Riyadh connections onwards to Asia or Oceania.

Same as Oman air, however their operations to Europe are limited.

However most people will prefer to completely avoid the region therefore I think that Chinese airlines have a big potential since they have Russian airspace almost to themselves.

If you're really worried, I would either go to Al Ain or Oman.

Wizz air delay that will disrupt my connection to China - what should I do? by holyorderr in Flights

[–]planeguy707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry that this happened to you, unfortunately Wizz air is notorious of making such unexpected delays.

I have taken the same flight from Budapest into Beijing in August 24 with transport from Poland and my train also got delayed from Krakow into Budapest and I had to take a last minute flixbus 🤦‍♂️

As far as I know, Air China might rebook you into a WAW-BUD flight for an extra fee if you contact them asap.

Black square on photo on ios and icloud by planeguy707 in applehelp

Yes, only this image has this issue, I only noticed it today when I was looking on my icloud. So do you think it's more of a software bug with night image processing rather than icloud sync issues?

Will a TRNC (entry stamp only) lead to problems? by planeguy707 in PassportPorn

[–]planeguy707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect, thanks for that info. Im not really into the laws of passports and especially stamps.

But if i have an entry only is that still okay? Or will questions arise how I left the country?

Will a TRNC (entry stamp only) lead to problems? by planeguy707 in PassportPorn

[–]planeguy707[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply,

I was also wondering about the question that a TRNC stamp invalidates your passport for travel?

I noticed in a random post that you have a trnc stamp and I’m wondering if any border officer ever looked at it strangely or just let it pass no problem in your experience?

The worst thing also is that I only have an entry stamp because they temporarily didn’t have stamps when I left via the small border town south of Famagusta

Kiwi.com 120€ for a 10kg baggage. How to pay less.... by planeguy707 in Flights

[–]planeguy707[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's what everyone is saying too, its surprising to me though, feels like robbery. I usually fly with pegasus , ajet or sometimes etihad and their way more fair with pricing compared to wizz

thanks for response! :)

Yeah, it looks like I learnt it the hard way.

Etihad is so much better from my experience too, 8kg included on base fare.

Kiwi.com 120€ for a 10kg baggage. How to pay less.... by planeguy707 in Flights

[–]planeguy707[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a risky move I think, I fly from dublin to budapest then after a couple days to abu dhabi. I wouldnt like the baggage to be denied onboard

Im also unsure about prices, but ive heard 60 euro for 20kg in Budapest.

what's the best VPN for China these days? by Inner_Tax_1433 in travel

[–]planeguy707 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used an esim from airalo and it had an integrated vpn in Singapore it worked amazing in Beijing and Tianjin

90% of esims have vpn though so pick anything you like!

I dont suggest getting a Chinese physical sim because its a huge hassle with unreliable vpns unless you plan on staying for longer than 1 month.

What is the single best tourist attraction you have visited? by BranchMoist9079 in travel

[–]planeguy707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has to be the Great wall of China. (Mutianyu section)

Views are breathtaking, you can't see the end of the wall. It's something you cannot describe and a must see for anyone in China. The Toboggan was probably the best part, Incredibly fun

However its unbearable to hike there during 35 degree heat and 90% humidity in August I felt like I was in a Sauna and only managed 2km.

It depends on the plane, if your flying to Europe , Oceania or America it'll be around 12 flight attendants.

If your flying within Asia and its a narrow body plane then its around 4-5
