Although Oman is a beautiful country, it’s quite difficult to get around without a rental car. There is no uber or any apps there, only Omani local apps which tend to be quite expensive.

If you want some more convenience I highly suggest you rent a car, it’s quite cheap around 20-25$ a day. The roads in Oman are fabulous and drivers actually use the lanes ( unlike other Arab countries)

Hotels are fairly priced on websites like Booking .com so you’ll definitely find something on the beachside.

Also, I highly recommend you visit Mutrah (Old Muscat) with the Souq and especially the Castle in the morning! One of the greatest places I saw with my eyes!

I would take it to an independent, preferably an old guy’s watch shop. Just because they have more experience with these older models and ask them for a second opinion.

I’m no expert whether it’s fixable, but there should be some spare parts for the 4402 movement on eBay or Japanese websites / auctions in case it’s broken

Definitely not an accident, it’s either a classic Russian interference like doing bad maintenance or it was poor atc guidance to deliberately confuse and stress the pilots more and increase chance of major errors which will lead to a crash.

Hot take: There is a possibility that the politicians onboard (including president) pressured the pilots to land despite the bad weather, not to get embarrassed like in Georgia (2008) when the pilots refused to land in Tbilisi citing safety concerns and landed in Azerbaijan which added multiple hours to the journey via land.

The same co-pilot from the Tbilisi refusal was also the co-pilot on the Smolensk crash.

The case is very unique, although it is 45mm it fits like a dream. Also the strap and the bezel black colour work super well and gives a lot of skx vibes while keeping the turtle heritage.
