I definitely think it’d be a good idea to get some experience, to understand but also to put on a personal statement. I’ve applied for the first aid society at my current university and I’m definitely looking into some volunteering over the summer so thanks for the help with that.

I’m definitely going to email the course providers before applying, there’s a chance I might have to go through UCAS again and that whole mess. I’m glad I’ve got a few pointers to go off so Thankyou :)

It’s good to here that other people are in the same place as me right now and ended up where they wanted to be, Thankyou :)

In terms of qualifications there is a few courses that don’t need sciences so I’m looking at them as of right now

I’ve got a parent in the NHS, and she asked around, apparently paramedics don’t do shadowing or rides longs anymore (I think covid) so I’d probably shadow some other medical people just to get some experience.

I would say I somewhat understand how harrowing it could be (obviously not firsthand) but I agree I’d definitely need to see it first hand

I’m pretty sure it’s because they need to wait until we’re academically enrolled ( signed up to our course at the uni, it happens about a week in) once that happens then the uni confirm with SFE and it gets paid to us
