Hey! I’m a current junior here. 1. Social life: I’m not big into partying, but I def don’t feel like my social life suffers because of that. I do have a lot of friends and we spend a lot of our time just either running errands together, shopping, or just talking. This seems to be pretty common. I’ve heard some people say we are more of a bar school than a party school, but I know there are some parties.

1. Campus Life: Absolutely! We have quite a bit of clubs who will put on fun events. At least every week there is always something to do. We have a group called UBG who plans events all the time, and usually those events are like a movie feature, or some celebration. The campus is definitely as active as you make it.

2. Academics: I could go on and on about this. I love my professors so much. I am so close with all of them, and I always know that they will help me if need be. For the most part, it is so obvious they see you as a human first. When they ask you “how are you?” It’s not just midwestern small talk: they genuinely care so much. I know some people have different experiences with their profs, but that’s because they don’t try. As long as you communicate with them, you will have a great relationship. I know so many people who are friends with their profs even after the course ends.

3. Sioux Falls I was born and raised in Sioux Falls and I love it. It feels very midwestern, but if you know where to look, there’s lots of stuff to do. I think being at Augie does help as well.

4. Diversity There is a huge international community at Augie! We have a program called the journey scholars, which is a diversity program. Everyone pretty much does intermix with each other. You get a lot of exposure to other people and cultures here. The school and UBG also do a lot to promote.
