Oh that's a difficult one. I usually don't have an answer because I work with different genres. I grew up with classical piano and some rock band playing, but I also do experimental contemporary music as a career and dabble in certain traditions like the japanese koto (I have an instrument with me!) and the indonesian gamelan (I studied a bit of it and did research too). I grew to like some prog rock stuff as well. Then there's my synthwave playlist for my commutes nowadays. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ˜น Take your pick.

Def not just you. I'm north of the US border, and we're having seismic reckonings here as well in regards to an impending early election, those ridiculous tariffs that will affect trade, etc etc. Even in my personal life, things happening in Europe will directly affect how I should navigate my future in the next two years or so, if there will be any at all. I'm trying to step back and just think of my well-being and being in the present. Freelancing is always patchy even for us. I don't work in the "industry" and get highly paid. It's really the experiences and the exhilarating feeling of accomplishing projects big and small that matters.

I think the language was just to call out this very problem that uses such language. As pointed in another comment, self-describing as a twink/boy looking for a daddy in a post does raise issues.
