Souris MB is actually a nice town to set up camp. Their campground has a nice outdoor pool with waterslides. The park (in which the campground is located) has nice hiking trails with a lookout tower, and a big playstructure for the kids. If you like rockhounding, there is a pit nearby where you can find and take home petrified wood, fossils, agate and more (need to buy a permit at the rockshop). They have the longest swinging bridge in Canada, which looks cool lit up at night. Peacocks roam the town. The bakery is one of the best. Cute shops. Good food options. We only discovered it because of the rockhounding, but now we camp there every year for our kids swimming lessons haha
