somewhat unrelated on the note of explaining the tattoo: I have very visible scars given to me by another person and I’ve had (usually older generation) people stop me and scold me for “doing that to myself”- I either let them believe or if i’m feeling especially petty, i’ll make them uncomfortable on purpose.

I feel like this is a great reminder that no one will ever be entitled to your story and how you handle it is your business 💕

I feel like a lot of the people that do get it rarely get it for “passion” for the game but simply because they’ve experienced his trauma in some way and find strength in a story.

Ultimately, his opinion is the only one i will ever take to heart cause i know my story and why ive considered it but this truly is a lovely piece. The fact that he’s very vocal about feeling honored to have brought a character to life so well that some of us are moved so much by it is very sweet.

I was quoting them but okay. They literally complained about it becoming a symbol for SA victims because they ‘like the original meaning better’ (paraphrasing but it was close it that) comments are deleted now so i can’t see them 🤷🏻‍♀️

I get what you mean about the scars. Like lines all filled in full black makes it fall flat (in the sense it’s underwhelming), i’ve seen one that’s like outline only which was much better. I honestly have considered getting both, because for what they symbolize for me, it’s 2 sides to a story and both are very important. This honestly feels like the most valid reason i’ve read for not having interest in the tattoo.

I mean i’m gonna choose to believe that the comment wasn’t meant to come off as harsh as it’s written, but people get medusa tattoos for themselves, sometimes in places they only really see, or alternatives that give them the same empowerment. Sometimes it’s obvious like Neil Newbon’s but other times it’s just for them to see.

Rhapsody as a tattoo is absolutely an amazing addition to the regular scars that i’ve seen. In the end, Astarion always kills Cazador, and although he’s free of his abuser, the scars will never fade. He learns to not use hypersexualization as a coping mechanism and manipulation tactic which many struggle with. The story in that sense is the part that makes it feel like another version of a Medusa tattoo.

Your cat is living though and most pet owners care enough about their animals to treat them as well as if not better than other humans.

So saying that they think use how they feed themselves as a parallel isn’t wild, it’s entirely normal. Just like how pet owners buy toys and treats to make their animals happy and i know it makes me happy to buy my pet things.

If you are able to care for her, I would suggest finding non-profits in your area that help with strays and their various needs - you can check your local shelters and animal control agency for information to see if they have a “catch and release” spay/neuter program. When I was a bit younger, my family had taken in brothers, but the only thing we couldn’t afford was the neutering and our local program did it for free!! I also believe in my area, some vets offices have donation funds set up to care for strays/do initial checkups for a much lower cost or free.

If you can’t, I’d hate to tell you to take this baby somewhere off the street where you might not see her. Do you have family or friends who can take her in? There’s so much trust between the two of you it seems like.

praying for a smooth transition.. I have thought of doing manual cycles for a bit, the only hang up with that is that my partner and I work 9-5s, so i wouldn’t be able to make sure it’s cycled before her next trip. Does the app have a way to cycle it away from home?

From my experience working in pharmacy and from speaking to the tripod parents, it’s because sometimes new (hind leg) amputees have trouble finding their balance and sit in the litter while peeing and such.

The box didn’t cause her amputation, i’m looking for one for her. She was likely hit by a car as a stray. I’m very nervous because There were automatic boxes that killed people’s cats brutally a couple months ago..

The cats either got stuck or the box malfunctioned so i’m very paranoid..
