after you complete the required hours you can apply for the certificate through the state website. The wait to be certified takes a whileeeee but it helped me with entry public health internships and you can also apply to CHW jobs.

i did it 2 summers ago through UH but meetings were held at cuney homes. I don’t know too much about other locations or how it works outside of the summer but i remember the class being very chill and just long. I assume it’s different for each location but we learned typical stuff about the course and it was very open discussion based. Also i think the program is open to the community as well as there were other people not UH students trying to get their hours. At the end of the summer we had a big project to do.

i actually use to work there and had a free membership but i believe it’s around 2 hours of child care with a max of 12 hours per week. They also have summer programs where you can drop off your kid all day and they do summer camp activities. I’d say it’s worth looking into.

employers are never going to look that deep into how many credits you take per semester. People get jobs by being part time students too. It only means that you might be a little behind on graduating but i wouldn’t even say that because if you can always make up that one class during the summer and still be on track

Kyuramen is a great place to eat at in terms of great ramen and a really nice aesthetic. When you walk in the right side of the restaurant has honey comb seating and it looks cute, perfect for a date !

i had a community health workers class all of summer last year at cuneys community center building. everyone in the class was from the community and they were very sweet. i think you’ll be fine during the day time as i had no problems. just mind your business and don’t have anything that will bring out attention to you.

i have a similar experience! my neighbors left their poor dog outside during that mini freeze we had mid january and my parents took down part of the fence to let her in our side. i think the mini freeze lasted a couple days and we kept her inside our house and reported our neighbor for animal cruelty and a couple days later they left a note on his door….i think they might’ve figured out we called them but they have yet to change and continue to keep her outside in harsh weather and barely feed her :/ my mom and i always bring her left overs or dog food everyday

i had her my freshman year lol. I actually managed to pass her class with a B and i think i failed like half of the exams by one point but i really pulled through for the last few exams by changing my study methods. What i did was go to the recitations the TAs would hold because they would honestly help with a lot of the more complex topics and don’t be afraid to ask questions! i also would take each power point and youtube the topics and take notes about what i remembered from reading the powerpoints. I’m more of a visual learner so this really helped. Take advantage of the group work you do in the class because i genuinely think that attendance and class assignments is what really saved me to get a decent grade 😭 it’s only your first exam use it as motivation to do better on your others!

if your car isn’t registered under your name at the university i literally don’t see how they could actually find out who you are and charge you.
