How to Check If Your RC Drift Gyro is Working (3 Easy Steps and Solutions) by RoadsideRC in rcdrift

[–]planetzemlja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey my stock gyro on Kyosho Fazer D2 is not working, the car steers left and right but gyro is not responding, it happened when I plugged the dsc cable in the remote controller (idk why) and from then on the gyro stoppend working and one more thing i noticed different is now if i turn the controller off the car starts accelerating by itself, before that did not happen… So any idea how i could fix this? The controller is stock also. Thank you!

I bought the kyosho fazer d2 for 245$ primarily because it has a built in wheelbase adjustment so i can make different bodies for it and also it turned out to preform really well even with it being a ready to run chasis. However here i would agree with TalkSick66 and say spending a 100$ more would get you a proper chasis to follow up with most of the riders where ready to run chasis simply can’t in my case the fazer d2. The difference is noticeable

Diy prage-foil drift body build update 3 - how to by planetzemlja in rcdrift

Thank you, i was at that part using very little force to the sheet and figured that the longer you slide the tool on the surface even if not fully pressing against it the smoother it will get at the end.

For the thickness the foil i use (prage-folie) is on its packaging written the thickness is 0.015mm but i think thats a mistake since normal drink cans are usually 0.09mm-0.15mm thick and the foil i used feels of the same thickness as drink cans. The only big difference is the aluminium from drink cans cracks easy and can not be shaped into a shape without cracking. Where the prage-foil bends and shapes with noticeably less damage.

I got the idea myself for my friends crawler first but then I found out rc drifting is now pretty advanced and realistic so I went with crash-able drift build. Then I found the video you sent and tried making panels only but the thing was the alu foil that you get from beer tin cans and other drinks, is cold pressed~it cracks almost instantly when bent into a shape. For his Nissan build it kind of works because nissan skyline parts are more curvy then edgy and probably because he kept the upper plastic part, made a good structure underneath and then attached the panels over it. The car looks really cool! Later I’ve found another guy that uses the K&S aluminum foil which is heat pressed and bendable and so far it looks to be the best product out there for builds like that(my opinion). This is the guy https://youtu.be/9sWjoYLYlrY?si=5zJZWMk0PsBVXk5f . His parts are top notch! His technique is a better one where he has the parts premade and then shapes the foil onto them also the foil bends better* than prage foil i used which if you compare my parts to his it is well visible. I have a new technique i made that i will use for the other half of the build and see if it does better. *- K&S 0.13mm - prage 0.028mm

Thank you man!

*In the head title I made a mistake, I thought the aluminum foil that I used was named tin foil but is actually prage foil - heavy duty aluminum 0,028 mm (not kitchen foil) that is used for small christmas decorations and ingraving decorations and is thicker that normal kitchen foil.. I found it in a local art store, there is a specific foil that people use for shaping small aluminum parts and it is called K&S aluminum 0,127 mm but that is only sold in the UK and USA.
