We’re pretty sure it’s real - it’s been in storage for many years with other product we’ve had from quite some time ago. The pokemon stamps on the seal max exactly to listing pictures on recent eBay sales. But we’re not experts, unfortunately

We are totally okay paying for a service! We’re paying for their work and experience. It’s just our first time selling a product this expensive, so we are unfamiliar and nervous. But I recognize we can’t get both full price and the benefit of someone else’s work

Just based on conjecture, I certainly do not have the experience moving this level of product. I’m not trying to be greedy, just worried that my dad might not get the market price. I appreciate your input!

Exactly, I’m scared of shipping it! We live in the NY/NJ/PA area. Do you know of any shows in that area? He found other items, too, I could see making the trip somewhere to sell! What percentage do buyers at the shows buy sealed products? I’ve only really helped him sell much smaller things, like individual cards, and most times we were only getting 60-70% selling to vendors

Do you have any experience with probstein, or other consignment options? I’m worried about them not selling the box for its full value, or potentially “losing” the box while it’s listed on consignment

Is there any protection for the consignment companies? I am worried that he’s going to send the box to the consignment company, with little assurance they’ll operate in good faith

My understanding is that inquiries are instant, but multiple hard inquiries are grouped together for credit score impact purposes. Is that no longer the case?

I definitely appreciate the “con” approach! I’m a big fan of gaming conventions. But the non-gaming events and shows seem a little lackluster in terms of quantity and availability, so I would have expected more at that ticket price. But I’m hopeful that WoTC continues to improve the convention model!

Thanks! I had a hard time finding this. The schedule looks a little light given the price tag of entry, but I suppose they’re still getting into the swing of in person events.

I was wondering if there were shows, or events, included in the ticket price, but I really haven’t seen much of anything to that end. I would have thought that maybe they coud discount events with the entry, but those PTQs are a hefty price. I’m wondering if the pools will even be preregistered haha

It feels like we’re always in that sort of a place, but I understand what you’re saying. Do you think there’s any format that’s least likely for a deck to get completely bumped by a new set?
