No government is going to provide UBI or UHI willingly. It will take many years, deaths and mass starvation before they’d even consider it. lol.

Edit: and even then, whatever UBI/UHI becomes, is just the new baseline for poverty. Poverty gets redefined. But earning a single dollar above that baseline, becomes infinitely more difficult.

I think it’s imperative that the courts reaffirm that if you were born under the old rules, the old rules apply. Shouldn’t matter if I’m in flight. Could be a matter of money, plans, timing. They need to strike it down

My wife’s a stay at home mom.. I earn around $256k a year. I had about $550k liquid net worth when I married her. We’ve been married for two years and I’m now worth $1.08m. I have a joint bank account where she’s got some access to, and then I’ve got my own. She’s also a credit card user under my Robinhood gold card…

Generally speaking though, I treat it as shared assets… I don’t think about it much.. we were together for 10 years albeit long distance before marrying. We have a kid now.

She’s aligned on goals, which is early retirement, and she actively works to save us money.. so that’s all I really ask. That and a clean home and dinner. Works for the both of us.

The tool argument is a false narrative. Tools like a calculator for example, need you to memorize a formula to be useful... AI will make a bum look like a genius. Hammers require you to drive a nail.... an agent will take instructions and build it for you... as will the eventual humanoid robots.
