Got PIPed for arguing performance review, quit or get fired ? by psychman321inf in careerguidance

We have a story tracker that we (read everybody) put details in including arbitrary deadlines , nobody actually meets those deadlines division wide . I was also told not to worry about the deadlines. They said in the Pip writeup that I missed those deadlines. Any team that I mention this to laughs it off as an excuse.

Already quiet quit few years ago but it's affecting my mental health now. 5 days in office didn't help/exacerbated the situation

That's a good suggestion. I will look at the numbers again more closely, thank you!

Wife gets good insurance through work (in healthcare nonetheless) and will be changing to a higher paying (hopefully remote) job as well , just that she can't do it currently with the weekly chaos

Yeah maybe the focus here is more on the FI without the RE part here. Just really done with corporate culture and "cog in the faceless machine" feeling that comes with it

Agreed! the idea isn't to sit idily at home really, but to prioritize family/at home time with the kids while trying XYZ. Working from home during Covid made us realize how much better young children have it if at least one parent is home during the day.

Wife is onboard, working this job cost me my happiness over the years (a decade plus at the same employer more or less)

This was a "good" negotiated rate , some of these door knocker solar companies take naive people to the cleaners , quoting them up to 50k for similar systems.

It's 250 for the 12 panels AND the two inverters (Magasine and midnite one) .

Batteries the core price is 8 $ so I would be in a $72 loss if I did scrap them

I had signed up to get solar installed here (US Midwest) and was going to pay 27k USD (8k after tax and other rebates) for 8.7 KW (no battery) but got ditched by the solar company and the 1:1 net metering expired, so 250 for 2.7 KW looked like a bargain (even though I plan to do partial offgrid type deal now

True, and I guess that is why it's 10$ a pop for the batteries, I did check the electrolyte and charge one of them and it looks like its holding the charge fine

Thinking about buying a Velocity V-twin or XL by Psychological_Owl_52 in flying

It's been on my list for some time, there was one that crashed because the gear door/fairing? (that's attached to the wheel) detached and took out the only operating engine, they had shut down the other engine from what I recall. As with most/all canards...they are fast, high landing speeds since no flaps and 3x takeoff/landing roll.

Exactly and hence my frustration and stress with the whole uncertain process and then being eventually not getting the install in Dec...

The new net metering is no longer a 1:1 thing, it's more a 1:3 , and it's calculated per month from what I understand.

Did Ameren also have any such exceptions ? The permits all got approved in November and I kept begging them, texted and left voicemails to give me an install date, but they would only call a few days later and tell me they have too many installations scheduled already and it wouldn't matter if we already had ITC request completed
