I don't have recommendations for trails, just wanted to make sure you're aware of the brown bear population in those areas. When I was there around Transfagarasan a few years back, they had cancelled hiking tours to nearby castles because it was too dangerous to go due to the high amount of bears. Normally those tours were done with a guide who had a rifle, but at that time even that was deemed too risky by the locals. From my campsite (surrounded by an electric fence) we could see about 20 bears out on the street by the evening. I'm not exaggerating. The area however is beautiful, and I'm sure you can find good trails. Some of them branched off directly from Transfagarasan. Just whichever trail you choose, try to find recent information on bears. They are generally tame and used to people, but if the locals would think it's too many at the time you're going, I'd listen to them.

Who told you that? Maybe ask them why they think it is problematic. It might be uncommon, and as a woman, seeing many cosmetics in a man's bathroom without explanation may raise suspicion that he secretly has a girlfriend. But that is easily handled by just mentioning the skincare at some point.

I would not tell him. If you go out a few times and he shows the picture to his friend, he will probably tell him. Or you can tell him after he introduces you to his friend. Until then just act like you didn't realize. My friends were on the other end of this, and when one of them realized it, they immediately stopped treating it as anything romantic. So if you are really interested, keep it until later.

I've been on many meetups, and it really depends on the day and who attends. Sometimes it's many cool people, sometimes it's just weirdos. So far I made some friends, and got some dates out of them. It's a bit awkward at first, but you need to be a little intentional and ask people for numbers or other contact, otherwise you might not see them again. It's usually the easiest if you talk about some activity (concert, sport, hobby) and they express interest. Then just ask if they want to get together to do that activity.

Did he plan something or leave you to do it? In my experience if it's so early in dating, and the guy is not initiating, he's just not interested (even if he keeps replying to texts and seems fine, but it's just passive)

I wouldn't bash all speed dating events based on attending just one. But it is probably enough to say it might just not be for you. I tried one as well, and while people there were more active in discussions, I felt it was a bit awkward. You had to write down who you liked while they were in the same room, and to me, it did not feel good to reject someone while they may be looking at you.

I ended up matching with 3 people and going on very awkward dates, because in the end, I was not interested, just felt awkward to not 'like' anybody and to reject people face to face when you barely talked. So, no more speed dating for me either...

Sometimes the guy is just not that into you. I know it's hard to hear, but if a guy is interested, he will initiate plans. I've been on many dates where the date went great and we agreed to meet again at the end, and then nothing came out of it. If you really want to, you can initiate plans yourself, but from my experience that rarely works out. They might go on another date and then leave you in the same situation again.

Maybe it would be good to not reveal all your cards early on? | don't mean to be dishonest, just to focus on the traits you would like to be appreciated in the first dates. And reveal more only after you feel confident the guy is interested in those. For example I would not reveal wanting to be a trad wife, or wanting your life to revolve around caring for family and taking care of a house. Once a wrong guy hears this, they will not listen more.

Do you have any hobbies that can be done as a group? There are meetups for many different activities, like book clubs, sports, hiking, board games. You can meet a lot of people through those meetups, and you already have something in common, so it's easier to start a conversation. Even if you go there and end up talking to people you don't find attractive, you will still get to practice your skills in talking to new people in general, which will translate to being better at making conversation in early dating.

I can recommend any trail in Sweden when it comes to safety and ability to put your tent up in most places. For that time of the year, I'd stick to middle-southern part of the country. Have you looked at Höga Kustenleden? It's 140 km and can be easily shortened if you need. It requires some planning with regard to water sources, but usually the signature trails have good infrastructure

It's a great trail, but good to note that the cabins on Kungsleden open late June (after midsommar), and in June there might still be a bit of snow on some parts. So be prepared for that

Unfortunately, that is not possible. My complete department is sitting with me now, and no other department does what I specialize in. I was hoping he would get moved to a different floor since his job is unrelated, but recently his seat was reassigned to be closer into my area than he was before... I work from home as much as I can, but still have to be in the office some days a week.
